Baltimore suspect draws gun last
This footage from Baltimore, Maryland shows police attempting to interdict a suspect whom they believe to be armed. Their suspicions are confirmed when, despite repeated orders to show his hands, the suspect attempts to flee while drawing a handgun near one of the officers. Before he can fire it, two Baltimore police officers open fire, striking and the suspect. Despite aid rendered by police and EMS, the suspect was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Dwight Hawkins, 38 years of age, was known to Law Enforcement for previous criminal activities and was prohibited from owning the pistol which was found on-scene. It is unclear whether Hawkins fired his pistol, but at least sixteen rounds were fired during the incident.
