Russian ATV strikes mine
A Russian all-terrain vehicle strikes a mine and the subsequent explosion launches the crew skyward. Mines have proved an effective weapon for both parties in this conflict, limiting mobility throughout the battlespace. Ukrainian platforms, such as the U.S. provided MRAP and Bradley IFV can be stopped by mines, but those vehicles have performed well in terms of survivability, and Ukrainian crew members live to fight another day. Russian armor has not fared so well, and mines often ignite the fuel and ammunition, incinerating the crew. Armored vehicle losses have forced the Russian Army to resort to ATVs and dirt bikes, and though they do not “brew up” in the manner of a BMP or a T-72, the hapless crew are simply launched into space.
16 views / TodayAvoz takes casulaties in Serebryansky Forest
Helmet cam footage recorded by a Ukrainian Azov unit in the Serebryansky Forest in 2024, shows the evacuation and treatment of multiple casualties with serious injuries, all while Russian artillery impacts nearby. The first wounded soldier approached by the cameraman has a seriously disfiguring injury to his hand and arm. He reportedly lived, but lost the hand and part of the arm. The second soldier appears to have injuries to both of his legs. Significant blood loss is apparent, and it also appears his legs are broken as they do not move with the rest of his body when loaded on the Skedco-type stretcher. He also reportedly survived but had at least one of his legs amputated. The third casualty has multiple penetrating wounds to his torso. The responding medic can be seen applying an occlusive dressing, also known as a chest seal in hopes of preventing tension pneumothorax or sucking chest wound. That soldier survived as well, as no vital organs were effected by his injury. The original uploader, "mister.frostovik," goes on to claim that two of the soldiers seen helping the wounded men in the video died a few months later when their APC was struck by Russian fire.
20 views / TodayRussian tossed from tank during mine strike
Drone footage of a recent mine strike against Russian armor shows why riding on the top of armor in an active conventional combat zone is not a great idea. When the mine explodes, the kinetic energy of the blast travels through the armor and ejects the Soldier that was riding on the roof of the vehicle, causing him to airborne for a few seconds before gravity can catch up to his individual attempt to leave the atmosphere.
11 views / TodayAzov sneaks up on Russian in wood line
Among other clips, this footage shows a Ukrainian Azov soldier conducting a movement-to-contact operation in a field edge treeline when he approaches and identifies an unsuspecting Russian at close range. He orders the Russian to drop his rifle, at which point the enemy trooper doesn't comply. The Ukrainian soldier's only self-sustaining option is to kill the man, which he does promptly with automatic gunfire. Later in the footage we see the Contact12 (K12) unit using an American made and delivered MK19 grenade launching machine gun. Following that, they exfiltrate from the objective area, which was reportedly in the vicinity of "New-York, Donetsk.
15 views / TodayMotorcycle death ride with arty and drones
Russian soldiers mounted on motorcycles are greeted with artillery and FPV drones. The four men advance, like some post-modern, single-cylinder two-stroke Light Brigade. With mortar impacts to the left of them, mortar impacts to the right of them, down the along the avenue of death ride the four Russians, into the volley of DPICM cluster munitions which blanket the area. FPV drones then hunt down the survivors. The last rider remounts his bike and attempts to flee, only to be chased down by a drone, like falcon pouncing on a hare.
15 views / TodayDeath stalks Russian troops in Donetsk
According to Ukrainian forces, the fields around Pokrovsk in eastern Donetsk yield a bountiful crop of Russian corpses. Death takes many forms, from land mines to FPV drones, striking men as they walk the roads or seek cover in trenches and bunkers. Pokrovsk is the front line and the current limit of the Russian advance in Donetsk, and despite relentless assaults and persistent attempts to outflank the city, Ukrainian defenses hold firm. The trenches shown in the video are reminiscent of those on the Western Front of the Great War and are indicative of the grinding attrition of this conflict.
14 views / TodayRussians hit by drones on lyman front
Footage from the Ukrainian 63rd Mechanized Brigade released a compilation of clips showing continuous drone strikes against Russian targets along the Lyman front. The initial strikes against logistics, weapons, and infantry are carried out by FPV kamikaze drones, but later in the video the strikes shown consist of drone dropped explosive munitions.
11 views / TodayRussian soldier dropped by MG in Donetsk
A Russian soldier humping along a road is engaged by a machine gun and falls to the ground. Despite the plethora of drone footage, the machine gun continues to rule battlefields as it has for 109 years.
15 views / Today2 Russians hit by same bullet
Drone footage shows a fire team of two Russians stacked against the door of a dwelling, when all of a sudden, a Ukrainian rifleman opens fire. The first round rips through them both and impacts the wall behind them. They both fall to the ground. A followup shot is also fired and can be seen impacting the wall with greater force than the first, as it had not passed through two people. Based on the angle of the impacts on the wall in relation to the targeted soldiers, the Ukrainian gunman was either in the house or on the opposite side and could see them through windows and open doors.
15 views / TodayFleeing soldier desperately whacks drone
A group of Russian soldiers tries to escape from a Ukrainian FPV drone, which focuses on one member of the group. In desperation, the man empties his rifle at the drone and then attempts to whack the drone with his rifle. The gambit fails and the soldier is reduced to confetti.
14 views / TodayRU amphibious raid crushed by Arty and Drones
Russian naval infantry encounter difficulties while executing an amphibious raid on one of the islands in the Dnipro River, in the vicinity of Kherson. The Ukrainian Army offers a reminder that it is not a party until you invite arty, dropping 155 mm DPIC on the raiders as they attempt to gain a foothold. One Russian soldier’s appeal for mercy is ignored as the bombardment continues and is followed by FPV drones. Drone-dropped munitions eliminate the stragglers.
10 views / TodayAnother Russian attempts T-Rex drone defense
Another reconnaissance drone video coming out of Ukraine today shows another Russian infantryman conducting the immediate action drill for defense against a T-Rex in "Jurassic Park." It's unclear why the Russians have adopted this particular standard operating procedure when drones are overhead, but as of right now, it doesn't appear to be a particularly effective system of defense. I believe the intent is something similar to the "freeze" command given on patrol while in a jungle environment. Human beings are naturally predators, and our eyes are drawn to movement. The freeze command demands that every person in the patrol immediately freezes in place and halts all movement, ideally preventing an enemy from having their eyes drawn to the patrol if the enemy is spotted at a considerable distance from the unit. The thing is, the follow-on action for that is to "melt," in which the entire patrol slowly maneuvers to the prone position for further concealment, and the entire action only works in wooded or jungle terrain where vegetation is already mixed with camouflage, providing natural concealment from enemy observation. In the case of being spotted by a drone in an open field, this is an entirely worthless standard operating procedure.
8 views / TodayDesperate Russian becomes victim of physics
This video shows a Russian soldier in an undisclosed location, playing the last card he has against an overhead Ukrainian drone. Unfortunately, throwing a grenade straight up has certain ramifications, and therefore viewer discretion is advised. I can understand the desperation at play here. After all, the soldier has to assume he's probably dead either way. But perhaps by virtue of the weight of the grenade, or the effects of gravity, or the shortness of the fuse, he makes some pretty severe miscalculations- let's not forget that even succeeding would have meant shrapnel and most of a drone getting blasted down into his face. What goes up, as they say...
19 views / TodayRussian soldier attempts T-Rex drone defense
They are attracted to movement. Stay still and they cannot track you. That logic may apply to the extinct Tyrannosaurus Rex, but not to Ukrainian drone operators in 2025. The man stands perfectly still as the drone inches closer and eventually seals his fate. FPV drones have contributed to a large percentage of the casualties inflicted on the Russian Army in this conflict.
10 views / TodayRU motorcycle troops ambushed
Two Russian motorcycle-mounted soldiers are observed by drones emplacing mines on a road. Ukrainian troops occupy a nearby building and engage the Russians with small arms, and the coup de grace is delivered by a FPV drone. In a conflict dominated by drones, artillery, and armor, this serves as a reminder that bullets remain deadly. As a Russian (or perhaps Scottish) submarine captain once observed, “most things in here don’t react too well to bullets.”
11 views / TodayRussian Infantry assault eliminated
Footage from the Ukrainian 28th Brigade shows a Russian dismounted assault attempt to seize Ukrainian fighting positions, but the raid fails as the Russian troops are thoroughly eliminated. The Russians are first met with drone dropped munitions that kill and injure multiple soldiers. The remaining soldiers are separated, cut-off, and pinned down. A small team of Ukrainians is "talked on" to the positions of the remaining Russians by drone operators, and they engage with small arms and hand grenades to completely eliminate the Russian threat.
11 views / TodayNorth Korean tries to Dead-Drop grenade
This video shows a clash between a Ukrainian SOF element and what are alleged to be North Korean troops in Kursk. In the aftermath, the downed Koreans are shown via thermal optic as the Ukrainians ensure they are killed. Viewer discretion is advised. However, the most harrowing moment comes as the Ukrainians move in on the bodies. One of the North Koreans has surreptitiously readied a grenade, and he attempts to kill both himself and the cameraman as he nears. The Ukrainian manages to get clear, but it is, to borrow from Wellington, a "close-run thing."
14 views / TodayRussian CasEvac in Kursk
Helmet cam footage recorded by a Russian casualty evacuation team in Kursk shows the soldiers speeding through freshly burning Russian wreckage to extract a wounded soldier. They dismount their UTV at the casualty collection point and promptly make contact with the wounded soldier. A fresh blast crater is present only a few feet from the casualty, likely from an FPV drone or drone-dropped munition. The medic identifies significant bleeding from the patient's thigh and rapidly places a "tourniquet," better described as a rubber band devoid of any kind of ratchet system, windlass, or anchoring cleat. The drone threat is too great to spend any more time on the scene, so they quickly load the casualty into the vehicle and exfiltrate the area. Something interesting to note is that the cameraman appears to be carrying some form of man-portable anti drone device.
