Suspect fires gun during chase, gets shot

This bodycam footage comes from San Diego, California. A suspect, later identified as Allen Baker (alias Tracy Diggs), 55 years of age, turned and fired a handgun at a pursuing officer. The cop responded to Baker's shot with five of his own, downing him. Although the suspect survived thanks to immediate medical aid and follow-on care at an area hospital, viewer discretion remains advised. Baker's handgun was recovered on-scene, and he faces the following charges: Attempted Murder of a Peace Officer, Assault on a Peace Officer With a Semi-Automatic Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. These charges are separate to the initial cause for contact, which was not disclosed.
