Florida Cop zaps AK-Toting carjacker

This bodycam footage from November of 2025 shows Miami-Dade County Deputies responding to reports of a carjacking. Three suspects allegedly held a woman at gunpoint and stole her Chevy Tahoe. When Miami-Dade's South District Crime Suppression and Special Enforcement teams cornered the vehicle, the suspects fled on foot. The bodycam footage here shows a Deputy chasing one of the suspects, who is armed with an AK-pattern rifle. When the suspect, later identified as Stephan Jones, 18 years of age, raises the rifle, the Deputy drops him with his service handgun. Although Jones survives thanks to medical aid rendered on-scene, and no other persons were injured, viewer discretion is still advised.
