Arizona Cops drill hostage taker at close range

This bodycam footage from Glendale, Arizona, covers an incident on 20 May 2026. Employees at a local store which sold firearms observed that a woman was acting unusually in the presence of the man she was with. The staff's concerns were compounded because the pair were there to buy a gun. Feeling that she may have been in duress, the employees called the police. Trusting your instincts tends to be the right call, and it was in this instance. When Glendale PD attempted to separate the woman from Darren Howard, 33 years of age, he tried to take her hostage and drew a knife. Both officers had their TASERs drawn, but correctly and quickly transitioned to their handguns when the weapon was visible, shooting Howard several times before he could use the knife. After separating Howard from his victim and the knife, the Glendale officers provided life-saving aid. Howard ultimately survived and faces several charges, along with a $350,000 bond. Despite his survival, viewer discretion is advised.

Swatting Prank Gets Someone Shot

This bodycam footage from Tucson, Arizona on 10 April 2025 shows the Pima County Sheriff's Department responding to what they believed to be a legitimate 911 call (included in the video). The caller, identifying as one Axeel Melendez, 23 years of age, claimed that his father had just shot his little sister. Believing they were responding to a life-threatening incident, the Deputies made entry and found Melendez' father, gun in-hand. The man was shot, but was transported to an area hospital. Viewer discretion is advised, but here's where the thickening plot twists: investigation afterward revealed no one had been shot and Axeel did not call the police. The man fell victim to a prank termed "swatting"- manipulating police into unknowingly using force under false pretenses, especially entering someone's home. It appears that he had grabbed his handgun because his home was being invaded without any ostensible reason.

High speed to high altitude to high voltage

This dashcam/bodycam footage from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin shows a high speed chase take a Dukes of Hazzard turn as the fleeing suspect goes airborne. The driver of the white sedan, one Dewayne Stokes, 44 years of age, had a felony warrant out of Kenosha Co. for failure to appear. He had previously been charged with driving a vehicle without the owner's consent. However, he fled from an attempt to arrest him, resulting in the chase shown here. Stokes loses control of the vehicle, which ramps the embankment and goes airborne, rightfully earning an expletive from the pursuing officer. Although his car appears to be out of commission, Stokes seems practically unharmed by the jump- he's walking away as the officer catches up, resulting in an almost anticlimactic tasing. He locks up and planks over into gravity's vengeful embrace before being arrested.
