Swatting prank gets someone shot

This bodycam footage from Tucson, Arizona on 10 April 2025 shows the Pima County Sheriff's Department responding to what they believed to be a legitimate 911 call (included in the video). The caller, identifying as one Axeel Melendez, 23 years of age, claimed that his father had just shot his little sister. Believing they were responding to a life-threatening incident, the Deputies made entry and found Melendez' father, gun in-hand. The man was shot, but was transported to an area hospital. Viewer discretion is advised, but here's where the thickening plot twists: investigation afterward revealed no one had been shot and Axeel did not call the police. The man fell victim to a prank termed "swatting"- manipulating police into unknowingly using force under false pretenses, especially entering someone's home. It appears that he had grabbed his handgun because his home was being invaded without any ostensible reason. It's absolutely the wrong decision, but one that's fairly easy to understand, and it puts a tragic exclamation point on an incident that shouldn't happen in the first place. The LEOs are operating under the assumption that he just shot someone, and he is presumably operating under the assumption that the police or someone pretending to be them are attacking. These perceptions collide and someone has to lose the gunfight. The legal line between "prank" and "domestic terrorism" is a blurry one, but it shouldn't be. While we don't have any information at this time on the prank caller, I hope they get every single second of the maximum sentence allowed.

Chasing a suspect becomes split second gunfight

This bodycam footage from San Antonio, Texas, shows local police attempting to interdict a suspect with active felony warrants. It begins in medias res, with an officer catching up to the 31-year-old suspect at a fence line. After a short hands-on struggle, the officer loses his grip on the suspect, which allows him to make space and draw a handgun as he flees. Despite having less than two years on the force, the officer immediately draws and shoots the suspect. The suspect, unnamed at this point, was taken to an area hospital and his handgun was recovered on-scene. This video captures how quickly and dangerously situations can escalate, and the kind of reaction time needed to survive.

Taser doesn't stop armed suspect

This bodycam footage comes courtesy of Jacksonville, Florida and shows two of their officers responding to a call regarding someone being threatened with a firearm. Despite warning commands, the suspect continued to threaten the victim with a handgun. A Jacksonville officer tried to use a TASER to incapacitate the suspect, but it failed, allowing them to fire a round and be shot in response. Although they ultimately survived, viewer discretion remains advised. While neuromuscular incapacitation is a powerful and useful tool, no delivery system to date has a 100% success rate. While the officers' attempt to end the situation without lethal force is doubtlessly grounded in good intentions, it's a very high-stakes gamble. We can see the immediate ballistic feedback associated with that course of action. The suspect, Kiyan Atkinson, 22 years of age, was able to fire a round and was shot several times by both officers in response. Despite all of this, Atkinson managed to reach for their handgun yet again before being taken into custody and treated for their injuries. Although no other persons were harmed, Atkinson was charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder of a police officer.

At least 3 dead in Montreal shooting caught on video

Multiple video angles show a shootout between police and a gunmen in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood in which a civilian, the gunman, and at least one police officer was killed. Footage shows the gunman armed with what appears to be an SKS rifle while wearing a Rhodesian Brushstroke camouflage shirt. He opens fire on a pair of police officers, hitting one right away. The hit officer leaves a large blood trail as he drags himself to the front of a vehicle before going unresponsive. He is likely the slain officer. A female officer can be seen taking cover behind a large planter, when all of a sudden a civilian makes a lethal mistake and walks up to the crouched officer, surprising her. It appears she shoots and kills the civilian at near point blank range. The gunman sees an opportunity and charges forward toward the female officer. She has a similar opportunity to shoot him as she had on the civilian, but she ducks back down and runs off. The gunman rounds the corner and fires at her with unseen results. It was later reported that she was initially in critical condition, but has since stabilized. It appears a third policeman, briefly seen in the bottom of the frame, may have gotten a better angle and landed some accurate shots on the gunman, neutralizing the situation. Investigators are still searching for motives, but multiple media publications insinuated that the neighborhood was largely Jewish, and possibly the cause for being targeted.

Missouri murder suspect opens fire during PIT

This footage, provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, shows law enforcement in pursuit of a murder suspect. Shortly before, a call to 911 reported that a 65-year-old female and 35-year-old male had been shot by the suspect. A multi-agency team located the suspect, and a chase and gunfire ensued, culminating with the suspect taking his own life. While not especially graphic, this video necessitates viewer discretion due to subject matter. The suspect, identified as Steven Swanson, 32 years of age, was found driving a blue Ford Bronco when police caught up to him. The 65-year-old 911 caller had been severely injured, and the other victim- her grandson- had been killed. Because of the high risk Swanson posed to both the public and officers, spike strips and a PIT maneuver (described in the report as a Tactical Vehicle Intervention or TVI) were used to interdict Swanson's vehicle. However, Swanson opened fire during the takedown before succumbing to a self-inflicted gunshot. Several bullet holes are visible in the State Trooper vehicle. Fortunately, no other persons were injured, although the trooper suffered injuries from glass shards.

Robbery suspect forces officer involved shooting

This compilation of security, bodycam and cruiser footage shows officers in Pueblo, Colorado attempting to interdict a robbery suspect. This incident occurred on 14 September, 2025. The suspect, later identified as Aaron Vigil, 38 years of age, stole a purse from a woman, as recorded by a security camera. When police attempted to stop the vehicle identified as his, Vigil attempted to flee, but crashed his car. Vigil remained noncompliant and drew a knife. He refused to drop it and insisted on closing distance with the officers, resulting in his being shot. At this point, Vigil began to stab himself until TASER pain compliance made him drop the weapon. Despite aid rendered, Vigil died of his cumulative injuries at an area hospital. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.

Pellet gun loses another gunfight

This compilation of bodycam and security footage comes from Gardena, California on 07 March 2026. Responding to a Robbery In Progress call, which is included here, the LAPD officers found Cynthia Akers, 53 years of age, behind the counter. Akers proved noncompliant despite several opportunities to comply with verbal commands, instead drawing a handgun. The statistics of playing quickdraw with at least 5 cops caught up to her- in no small part because her pistol was later found to be a pellet gun. Despite aid rendered by the officers and LA Fire Department, Akers was pronounced deceased at an area hospital. No other persons were injured. Viewer discretion is advised.

Incompetent Florida Cop shoots CCW holder with his own gun

This is somewhat dated footage, from December 13, 2024, but I could not stumble across a teachable moment of this magnitude and let it lie. Shout out to Funker530's Cam for bringing it to my attention. This bodycam compilation comes from Jacksonville, Florida. An officer pulled over a driver for having run a traffic light. Jason Arrington was fully compliant and let the officer know that as a CCW holder, he had a firearm on his person. Note: he calmly informed the officer and did NOT reach for it. Feeling understandably unconfident in dealing with this scenario alone, the officer made a fair call and requested backup. This is a reasonable thing to do, and the officer had a justifiable expectation of helpful backup. That's not who shows up, to put it bluntly. The responding officer called Arrington out of the truck and, it must be maintained, Arrington was forthright and compliant, and did no wrong. Unfortunately for everyone in this scenario, the backup officer's partner was Officer M. Cardwell, who managed to draw Arrington's pistol with her finger on the trigger and shoot Arringron in the thigh with his own gun and ammo. Viewer discretion is advised.

Shot suspect in New Jersey won't give up

This compilation of bodycam and traffic cam footage comes courtesy of New Jersey's Jersey City Police. On September 5, 2025, two different units suspected that their vehicles had been fired upon, and converged on a suspect- one Steven Sanchez, 26 years of age, whom they saw in possession of a handgun. Sanchez pointed the weapon at one of the officers, who promptly exited his vehicle and shot Sanchez. Despite his mortal injury, Sanchez charged the officers while firing his weapon (later determined to be a compressed air pellet gun) and attempting to grapple. During the struggle, Sanchez is seen reaching for an officer's handgun, but is overpowered and placed in custody. Despite aid rendered on-scene until EMS arrival, Sanchez was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital. One of the officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Despite the heavy censorship of the video, due to content, viewer discretion is advised.

Knife with a plan beats handgun and audacity

This security camera footage from El Nuevo Diario, Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic manages to catch a robbery thwarted by the intended victim. As is often the MO in countries where they're popular, a driver on a bike pulls up on a man whom they perceive to be an unsuspecting mark, and the rider in back hops off, using his handgun to intimidate the victim. However, this scenario goes off-script almost immediately. Unfortunately for the would-be robber, one of the items his victim happens to have on his person is a knife, which he introduces to the left side of the criminal's neck with little apprehension. He, in turn, seems fairly confused by the upset; he dithers and retrieves his shoe rather than fleeing immediately. Little is known about the circumstances surrounding this interaction, although social media RumInt suggests the defender with the knife is an off-duty security guard. A photo, purported to be the robber-turned-patient at the hospital, is attached at the end of the video. In the face of power to the point of complacency, speed, surprise and violence of action carry the day.

The suspect is identified as Jonathan Otto, 35 years of age. The police officer found Otto driving a flatbed truck with a passenger aboard. Otto refused to exit the vehicle and began driving it when the officer tried to remove him. The officer was stuck clinging to the side as Otto drove at a high rate of speed for several blocks. Mental health risk subject grabs and fires Cop's gun

This bodycam footage from Rochester, Minnesota illustrates a truism taught in most police academies but often forgotten on-the-job. Every call possesses an element of danger, because there's always a gun on-scene. It's yours, and therefore weapons retention can't be drilled hard enough. Here, we see officers responding to what was initially a domestic call. The subject, identified as Cleavon White, 47 years of age, began exhibiting erratic, paranoid behavior. This prompted the police and attached social worker to attempt to place White on a 72-hour mental health observation hold, but White resisted. In the ensuing struggle, White grabbed an officer's gun and fired it, at which point he was shot by the other officer. Despite aid provided and rapid transport, White was declared deceased at an area hospital. Due to the subject matter, viewer discretion is advised.

Rochester Cop shot by armed suspect

This bodycam and security camera footage comes from Rochester, New York, courtesy of their Police Department. On 20 March, 2026, an officer attempted to speak with a person of interest in a shooting that had happened earlier that day. As he approached the man, the suspect drew a handgun and fired three rounds. The official statement says the officer was struck in the "lower body" but we see him doing an excellent job of immediately affixing his own tourniquet to his right leg. Other officers transported him to an area hospital, where he is expected to be released as his injuries were deemed non-life threatening. Meanwhile, the shooter was caught within a perimeter established by other units and located via a thermal camera on a Department drone. However, closer investigation revealed that the shooter was deceased by virtue of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Volusia county deputies rescue shot comrade

This compilation of bodycam and aerial unit footage is excerpted from a press release in Volusia County, Florida. It covers their deputies attempting to investigate Luis Polanco regarding a vandalism call on 02 March 2026. Upon seeing the deputies, the suspect darts inside his home and returns with a handgun, opening fire. The Deputy closest to the door, Deputy Jose Rivera, is hit in the right arm and leg. His body camera was also hit in the ambush. Partner footage shows Rivera having affixed a tourniquet on his own leg, but adrenaline apparently masked his arm wound- only as his backup officers are walking him to the car do they spot and treat the injury. There's much to be said and taught here about the effects of adrenaline and the importance of a thorough patient assessment, but it's hard to fault how well they work together to support his injured limbs and apply a tourniquet on the move. Their support extends beyond the literal- they keep Rivera calm as the adrenaline wears off and the pain that comes with the occlusion of a tourniquet sets in while driving him to the hospital. Fantastic work done in light of awful circumstances. Sheriff Michael Chitwood praised their bravery and restraint, and rightly so. Although this has yet to be substantiated, preliminary forensics suggests the suspect fired 12 rounds whilst following the Deputy. Retrieved AI queries and the suspect's own statements indicate that this was a premeditated, deliberate attack and that the suspect was off of prescribed medication at the time. After the initial shooting, in which Polanco ran out of ammunition, he became compliant. However, in fantastic news, Deputy Rivera, a father of three, is recovering well.

Open container violation becomes excessive force

This bodycam footage comes from Daytona Beach, Florida on 12 March 2026. In enforcing an ordinance which prohibits drinking alcohol in public spaces (otherwise known as an "Open Container" of alcohol), an officer is shown ordering the perpetrator to pour the alcohol out. However, the suspect defers, handing the officer the bottle to dispose of himself. Here, things go off the rails. Although it's not caught on camera, the officer alleges that the man threw the cork from the bottle at him, at which point he moved in to detain him. Other officers assisted, resulting in the man down on the ground. While the official statement reads that the detained man/suspect continued to resist and grab officers, bystander footage allegedly shows that he was already restrained when several blows were delivered. A TASER was also allegedly discharged, despite the restraints. In addition to open container violations, the suspect was charged with battery on a LEO. Rather tellingly, the contact officer has been reassigned away from patrol duty, pending investigation. Prima facie, what it looks like actually happened is this officer let tequila cork hurt his feelings and crossed a line. Viewer discretion is advised due to subject matter.

Suicide by Cop denied

This footage, a compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage, comes from the Sheriff's Office in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. On 02 March 2026, Deputies observed a vehicle travelling in excess of 130 miles per hour and gave chase. During the pursuit, information was relayed that the driver had purchased a pellet gun and had expressed suicidal intentions. When Stop Sticks punctured two of the car's tires, bringing the chase to an end, the driver opened fire with a pair of pellet guns. He was trying to force the Fond Du Lac Deputies to end him, in a scenario which plays out with sobering frequency. However, thanks to the foreknowledge of the circumstances, the police didn't take the bait. Instead, they used a combination of Less-Than-Lethal beanbag rounds and excellent K9 work to incapacitate and detain the subject. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation. While thankfully no one was seriously injured, due to the subject matter, viewer discretion remains advised. While many people with suicidal thoughts and intentions see it as the lifting of a burden, it all too frequently puts that burden on the shoulders of people who don't deserve it and will carry it for the rest of their lives. I am profoundly glad that these deputies had the wherewithal, professionalism, and restraint that they showed here, both for the subject's and their own sake. If you or someone you know is struggling with suicide, consider the 988 Hotline.

Although the deputy and suspect both survived, viewer discretion remains advised. The violence allegedly stemmed from a property dispute, and the suspect was identified as one Aaron Rodriguez, 32 years of age. Officer hit in shootout with murder suspect

Bodycam and dashcam footage of a shootout in Washington State is finally being made public after the incident and investigations, which began in 2023, came to a close. After chasing a suspiciously-driven white pickup, Pierce County deputies became embroiled in an immediate and fierce gunfight. During the exchange with the suspect, one of the deputies was hit, taking a round in his handcuff case and vest. Although the suspect- later implicated in a double homicide- survived the initial shootout and arrest, he died several days later at an area hospital. In response to his death, his partner in the murder was additionally charged with animal cruelty for providing a horse for Olsen to "ride to Valhalla." Because of the content matter and included audio, viewer discretion is advised. Kody Olsen was observed driving in the wrong lane and initially suspected of DUI, but when the Pierce Co. deputies attempted to interdict him, he fled at a high rate of speed. He lost control of his vehicle on a dirt road and immediately began shooting at the deputies, striking one. He suffered non-threatening injuries thanks to his protective vest. A total of four deputies returned fire. After the gunfire abated, the deputies attempted to call Olsen out of the truck, but he refused to comply, at which point SWAT was called. They used a drone to determine he was no longer a threat. He yelled requests to be killed, made references to an "Omerta Empire Gang" and stated "you built us." A month after his extraction, arrest, transport and eventual death, he was implicated as partly responsible for a double murder in a "drug deal gone bad." Where this gets weird: despite claiming Olsen was solely responsible, his partner in the murder reportedly killed a horse upon news of Olsen's death, so that Olsen would "have a steed to ride to Valhalla."

Cape town murderer disconnects from server

This footage, from an in-car dashcam in Pretoria, South Africa, shows four men who had just committed a drive-by. While Funker530 often archives Law Enforcement footage, video from a criminal's perspective is fairly rare. Although the two up front seem excited, even calling to report a job well done to somebody, reality is beginning to set in for the pair in the back as the police pursue. Note in particular the fellow siting behind the driver, who has little to say and even shrinks down in his seat. His comrades fail to notice the turmoil he's in, and eventually leave him behind, at which point he makes an irreversible decision. While it is hidden by the car's front seat, due to the nature of the incident, viewer discretion is advised. Throughout the chase, other drivers somewhat incredibly pull alongside the criminals to ask what's going on. At 04:06, the passenger up front throws his handgun, shown with an extended magazine, out the window. Note that the backseater hangs on to his. at 04:34, three of the four exit the vehicle and are promptly engaged by the pursuing police. The fourth man, evidently stopped by a child lock on the door, instead opts to shoot himself in the head rather than be caught.

Rookie shoots suspect reaching for shotgun

This bodycam footage comes courtesy of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dated 31 January 2026, the video shows Colorado Springs officers struggling with a suspect who ignored their commands and got into a police cruiser. As one officer attempted to dislodge her from the vehicle, the suspect began grabbing for the shotgun stored in the cruiser, prompting the other officer to shoot her twice. It's important to note that despite having been with the department a mere 13 months, that second officer acted quickly, decisively and accurately. Although the suspect survived, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Micaela Pasillas, 30 years of age, was involved in a domestic dispute and initial reports indicated she had a firearm. This was not the case, although she was in possession of a large knife when CSPD arrived. She dropped the knife but did not obey any other commands, instead running to the cruiser and reaching for the shotgun. Office James McKinstry shot her through the passenger side window despite the close proximity of his partner, exhibiting consummate skill and judgment despite having just over a year with the agency. Despite her injuries, Pasillas survived and was taken to an area hospital in serious, but not critical condition. She was released following treatment to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center, where charges are pending.

Baltimore 14 year olds go on crime spree

This short clip shows Baltimore PD officer Cole (no relation) responding to a report that armed persons were attempting to break into a home. When the officer arrived, the group attempted to flee in a Kia, but the driver struck a parked vehicle. When the officer approached them on foot, the Kia driver put the car in reverse again and backed into the officer. As he lay on the ground, he fired at the fleeing vehicle with which they had just hit him. However, a victim who had been assaulted by the same group arrived. The officer wisely chose to give him aid and comfort rather than leave him and pursue. Ofc. Cole is a 5-year veteran and the wisdom of his experience shows in how he took care of the victim. The Kia, confirmed stolen, was found abandoned a short time later, having hit yet another vehicle. Further investigation found that the two robbers (male) and the driver (female) were all fourteen years old. Furthermore, the driver had been taken by her mother to a hospital that night to be treated for what appears to have been a gunshot graze. Officer Cole was treated at an area hospital for an injured ankle.

This compilation of dashcam and bodycam footage comes from the St. Louis County, Minnesota Sherriff's Office. On 10 February 2026, deputies attempted to interdict an erratic driver, who fled upon contact. Fake 911 call leads to stabbing ambush

This 12 December 2025 footage from Bellevue, Washington, shows police officers making contact with a complainant who made a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance. However, the call was a ruse, and this becomes apparent when the suspect abruptly attacks the officers with a knife. One officer is seriously injured by the attacker, who is shot by his partner. Surprisingly, despite grievous wounds, all involved parties survived the incident, having received prompt and effective care at an area hospital. Despite this, due to the graphic nature of this content, viewer discretion is advised. Legal proceedings against the suspect, one Mohamed Bangura, 38 years of age, are still ongoing, and allege that the domestic incident which prompted the officers to arrive was a fabrication, and that this was a deliberate ambush of law enforcement personnel. One of the officers was slashed in the face and stabbed in the back by Bangura. Somewhat incredibly, Bangura has pled "not guilty" to the assault charges which two different cameras recorded him committing, as shown here.

Ex-Boyfriend turned stalker kicks off Split-Second gunfight

This short compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage from Seattle Washington on 12 February 2026 shows local police attempting to interdict a suspected stalker, who, according to the complainant, could be armed. Her fears were confirmed when officers attempted to make contact and the suspect drew his handgun. A quick but harrowing gunfight ensued and ended with the suspect down and one officer injured. Viewer discretion is advised. The complainant, an eighteen year old woman whose identity is withheld, stated that Christopher Bowman was following her and implied that she had several cases open against Bowman and his behavior. After the gunfight, Bowman was given immediate aid and taken to an area hospital and remains in critical condition. His handgun was recovered from the scene, and the minorly injured officer was treated and released from care.

Welfare check goes tragically awry

This bodycam footage comes from Reno, Nevada. Local police received several calls expressing concern for a man who seemed likely to jump off a bridge. Although the officers tried to the best of their ability to redirect and de-escalate the suspect, he eventually rushed one of the officers and tried to flail them with a chain, resulting in his being shot. Furthermore, an officer was hit with friendly fire. Although medical aid was provided to both, the suspect was declared dead on-scene. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Michael Johnson, 27 years of age, was known to law enforcement due to previous contact. Recalling that Johnson had a knife at one point in the past, the officers assumed he still had it, which is the point at which negotiations stalled out. Unable to be certain if he had his hands on a knife in his pocket, the police announced they were going to go hands on and circled him, in order to prevent him from drawing it. This threat somewhat unsurprisingly caused Johnson to escalate, swinging a heavy tow chain at one of the officers. Note: there are six officers present, and apparently none of them thought that neuromuscular incapacitation- that is, a TASER- might be a good option for keeping a suspect from pulling a knife. Can't draw if you can't move. Instead, presumably feeling emboldened by numbers, they ignored the tools at their disposal and gave him time to produce a weapon. When he flailed it overhead, multiple officers fired, striking him and one of their own. Considering the whole encounter began to prevent a possible suicide, the incident seems like a waste that could have been handled better.

Knife wielding suspect gets shot as victims flee

This footage from O'Fallon, Illinois shows police responding to what was initially reported as a domestic disturbance. Upon hearing that a knife is involved, they instead treated is as an assault in progress. This proved prescient, as when the police arrived, the victims- the suspect's wife and stepdaughter- were fleeing as the suspect followed them with the knife, both having been stabbed. The suspect, later identified as Matthew Blanke, 53 years of age, refused to comply with commands or drop the knife, and was shot as he continued to advance. Despite aid rendered, he was pronounced dead on-scene. The victims were treated at an area hospital for non-threatening stab wounds. Viewer discretion is advised.

Armed suspect harboring missing female minor gets shot

This footage comes from Knoxville, Tennessee, and shows Special Operations Squad (SOS) police recovering a missing child and serving an arrest warrant on the man suspected of hiding her. When the point man moves forward to effect his arrest, the suspect produces a handgun, at which point he is shot in extreme close proximity to the arresting officer and the minor. While the bodycam footage is censored, due to the sensitive nature of the material, viewer discretion is advised. Following up on intel gathered by detectives the Special Crimes division, SOS (Why "SOS" and not "SWAT" or "ERT", I don't know) served warrants for the arrest of one Angel Menendez, 46 years of age, for harboring a minor (15 years of age), contributing to her delinquency, and for the theft of a firearm. In what is probably an attempt to contain Menendez before he can reach the gun, the point man moves quickly in an attempt to get control. However, this is an extremely risky move. Two other SOS officers in the stack had coverage and fired on Menendez when he reached the handgun. Seconds after this occurred, the minor tried to attack another officer with a knife, but only managed to hit his helmet. Despite aid rendered, Menendez was declared dead on-scene. The minor was charged for this assault and taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

Dallas suspect picks gunfight next to grandma

This compilation of bodycam footage from Dallas, Texas covers an incident on 02 February 2026, in which a 911 call reported that a suspect was armed with a handgun and making threats to his family. When police arrived at the scene, they found that the suspect was in the bathroom with his grandmother, who had taken him there to privately talk in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. Upon opening their opening the door, the suspect aimed the weapon in their direction, which incurred an exchange of gunfire. An officer was hit with a single round, and both the suspect and his grandmother sustained injuries. While heavily censored, due to the nature of the content, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Tony Robinson, 18 years of age had threatened to principally kill his father, with others in the house as secondary targets. He fired one round in the exchange, catching the officer in the vest. Although Robinson was shot, he was given treatment on-scene and transported to an area hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. Similarly, his grandmother was transported, treated and released. The precise nature of her injuries was not disclosed, though their being sustained during the gunfire would suggest she was at least grazed.

Front bumper ends san jose gunfight

This bystander footage captures the dramatic, kinetic culmination of a gunfight between San Jose police and armed crime spree suspect Mohamed Husien. The frenetic, close-range exchange of gunfire is brought to an end when an officer strikes the suspect with a patrol vehicle. Viewer discretion is advised. Husien, 30 years of age, had been on a four-day, multiple-county crime spree. Husien had committed several carjackings and armed robberies leading up to this point. Despite several attempts to interdict Husien, he escaped pursuit amid exchanges of gunfire. Six law enforcement agencies collaborated in their attempts to bring Husien in. In the last clash between the suspect and San Jose police, an officer spotted an opportunity to end the ongoing violence, which was putting officers and bystanders at continued risk. Once a clear and immediate need for deadly force is established, the means by which said force is delivered are immaterial- deadly force is deadly force, whether delivered by bullet or speeding Ford Explorer. As Husien lay there, other officers shot him until he stopped moving. Unsurprisingly, he was pronounced dead on-scene.

3 Angles of deadly ICE shooting in Minneapolis

Multiple witness videos are coming out showing the January 24, 2026 shooting death of a protester by immigration enforcement agents in Minneapolis, Minnesota. What we know is based on video footage and press releases of information, so we will try to stick to that without making assumptions. As of now, we understand a 37-year-old Minneapolis man, identified as Alex Jeffrey Pretti, an intensive care nurse by trade, was shot and killed by federal agents during a confrontation that resulted into a physical struggle just before the shooting occurred. Before the shooting, Pretti can be seen video recording agents and attempting to direct traffic. The officers push Pretti and at least two others out of the lane of traffic. One of the officers pepper sprayed Petti, at which point, the wrestling match ensued. Reports indicate that Pretti was legally armed at the time the confrontation began, although it is unclear if he was armed at the time of the shooting or if he made any threatening gestures with the weapon or fired it. Unverified internet analyses are claiming that one of the officers can be seen disarming and walking away with Pretti's pistol just prior to the shooting, which does look convincing, yet, we cannot confirm that's actually what happened based on the footage provided.

Murdering ex Cop gunned down after chase

This compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage from Sacramento, California, shows police chasing and attempting to interdict ex-Deputy Marvin Morales, 40 years of age. He was wanted for the stabbing murder of a child of 11 years earlier that day, and due to his experience, training, and likelihood of armed resistance, multiple agencies worked in tandem. After Morales wrecked his vehicle, the law enforcement agencies established a perimeter. Morales was spotted reaching for what was assumed to be a weapon, whereupon he was shot to death. Although this is largely censored, due to the nature of the content, viewer discretion is advised. Morales was fired from his Sheriff's Department in disgrace after seven years of service in February 2024. He had confiscated fentanyl during a traffic stop and was caught using it himself, inside the station. On December 02, 2025, his ex-wife had the horrific experience of watching him stab her 11-year-old-son via security camera. Although first responders arrived as soon as possible, the child later died in-hospital. A handgun had been taken from the family's gun safe, prompting an elevated response from multiple agencies. From abusing his power to hypocritically use illegal drugs, which outright kill people and cause people to be killed, to murdering a boy of 11 years while his mother watched, I am at the very limit of my professional courtesy when I say "good riddance to bad rubbish." Any one of those things would make you a piece of shit in my book, but Morales went for the royal flush.

Tasers don't stop knife wielding suspect

This bodycam footage comes from San Francisco, California, and shows their Police Department responding to a 911 call regarding a suspect in possession of a knife while under the influence of drugs. While he initially complies, the suspect draws the knife when within striking distance of the officers, resulting in his being shot when TASERs fail to stop him. Although the suspect survived the shooting and is in critical condition, viewer discretion remains advised. The initial 911 call came from the suspect's mother. The suspect, identified as Luis Francisco-Manzo, 28 years of age, exited her apartment into a long hallway. The video begins here, showing the officers attempting to verbally de-escalate the situation. Although he initially complies, Francisco-Manzo draws the knife at the threshold. The officers try to create distance, and, crucially, two attempts to incapacitate him with TASERs fail. As he is within striking distance of the officers, non-compliant, and in possession of a deadly weapon, the only recourse left is to shoot him. Luis Francisco-Manzo was transported to an area hospital where, at time of writing, he is in critical condition. Public perception of neuromuscular incapacitation is that it works every time; an "I win" button. But this simply isn't the case, and relying on it can tempt disaster.

Vietnam veteran forces officer involved shooting

I don't normally preface videos like this, but the footage seen here from Bagley, Minnesota, requires viewer discretion. While not especially gory, a Vietnam veteran shoots a flare gun at deputy, forcing another deputy to shoot and kill him. The shoot, and the deputy's emotional response to having to kill the man, are all here, and it's a difficult watch. The psychological toll of taking a life that need not have been taken but for their actions is rarely shown on camera, and needs to be discussed more. Leaving such weight unaddressed is what leads to mental health crises and suicides in turn. Dennis Hoie, a Vietnam veteran at 75 years of age, had outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. When confronted, he fled in his truck, causing a brief chase and Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT maneuver) to be utilized. Deputy Hallman broke the glass on Hoie's passenger side, as Hoie produced a flare gun and fired at Deputies on the driver side. This being lethal force, Hallman responded by shooting Hoie through the broken passenger side window. Despite aid rendered, Hoie was pronounced deceased on-scene. The deputy hit by the flare suffered a non-serious graze to his head. Hallman's emotional reaction to what he had to do is included on this video as he talks with his supervisor before turning off his camera. I hope it was included with his permission, but in any case I'd like to thank Clearwater County for including the often downplayed or ignored facet of what "suicide by cop" can do to the responding officers.

This prompted one of the officers to shoot the suspect. However, the object in the suspect's hand was later revealed to be a vape pen. Although the suspect survived, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Wade Griffith, 38 years of age, was found to be in possession of one large, sheathed knife in his backpack, as well as an empty sheath for another knife. At the time of the incident and shooting, Griffith was charged with two counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of battery on a LEO with the same, and two counts of resisting with said weapon. With the caveat that I am not a lawyer, given that a vape pen was in his hand I'm not certain that most of those charges will hold up.

Two fur missiles splash suspect in the mud

This bodycam footage from Kenosha, Wisconsin shows two Police K9s and their human partners taking down a suspect who had fired a handgun into a residence the previous day. His attempt to flee in his vehicle ended up with the suspect on foot in a muddy field. Given that most people can't outrun a K9 on perfect terrain, this guy had no chance. Viewer discretion is advised.

Attempted vehicular homicide gets driver shot

This footage from El Centro, California, shows local police attempting to interdict persons suspected of having stolen a car. However, when the suspects accelerate toward the officers in an aggressive manner, an officer shoots the driver, killing him. Because the driver and suspect was a minor, viewer discretion is advised. A license plate scanner alerted local authorities of plates belonging to a stolen white Hyundai, and police tracked it to a restaurant. When the the officers attempted to move in, the suspects fled. In a bid to escape with the vehicle, the driver aggressively accelerated toward the officers before being shot and killed. When the police officer opened fire, there were two officers directly in front of the Hyundai. Although aid was rendered on-scene by both police and local EMS, the driver was declared deceased. Two other minors, deemed uninvolved with the crime, were in the backseat of the car at the time.

Ohio Cop mag dumps unarmed suspect

This bodycam footage coming from Akron, Ohio, shows an officer responding to reports that a man was behaving erratically and in an intoxicated manner at a local bar. 911 calls further reported that the suspect was pointing what appeared to be a gun through the windows of said bar and had made threats to shoot. When the officer made contact, the suspect made a movement which was interpreted as a reach to draw a weapon. The Akron officer fired no less than 15 times, but the suspect survived. No weapon was found. Despite the suspect's survival, viewer discretion is advised. The officer made contact and immediately ordered the suspect to get on the ground, repeatedly warning him he would be shot. The suspect made a movement toward his pocket which the cop perceived as a threat, compounded by the 911 calls and dispatch information. In an approximate 18 seconds, the officer went from contact to dumping 15 rounds into the suspect. The officer calmly identified himself as Akron police and radioed in, conducting a mag change as the suspect lay wounded on the ground. Medical aid was rendered and the suspect was taken to an area hospital with what Akron Police termed "serious injuries". No weapons were found on the suspect, prompting an ongoing investigation into the reports and claims.

Police ambushed twice, army vet intervenes

This compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage covers a homicide suspect springing two different ambushes on police in Pueblo, Colorado. After the suspect opens fire on the officers with an assault rifle and makes his escape, a retired but ready Army veteran uses a CLS bag to patch up a wounded officer. Later on, the Pueblo police confront and shoot the suspect. Viewer discretion is advised. Billy Soto was wanted by the FBI in regard to an attempted murder. Police in Pueblo, Colorado attempted to contact and arrest Soto, but as the officer stopped his car, Soto opened fire with an AR-pattern rifle before running away. Despite firing several rounds, only one officer was hit, and only once. As fate would have it, a bystander happened to be a retired soldier, and he happened to have a Combat Life Saver bag on him. Luck favors the prepared. While the stricken officer was treated and evacuated, a perimeter was established and a search began for Soto. An approximate half hour after the first encounter, he opened fire again, striking two more officers. Amid a fourth exchange of gunfire, Soto was struck. Despite medical aid rendered, Billy Soto was declared deceased on-scene. All three injured officers were treated for their injuries and released from hospital care the same day. No other persons were injured.

Suspect throws rock at Cop, gets shot

This bodycam footage shows officers in Salt Lake City, Utah, interacting with a suspect who may have been involved in a fight. However, he refuses to answer their questions to confirm his involvement or injuries. Instead he pockets large decorative rocks from the curb and attempts to flee. As the officers give chase, he hits one of them in the head with a thrown rock. Because rocks of that size could conceivably do lethal damage, the officer responds by shooting him. Viewer discretion is advised. Although bystanders confirmed a disturbance or fight did occur, no one positively identified Jose Hernandez as being involved. The initial 911 call referenced someone losing consciousness, and Hernandez' behavior is decidedly erratic. He refuses to answer their questions and stuffs rocks into his hoodie pocket. The officer insists that he put them back, as they are not his property. It's unsaid but he probably registers them as being intended weapons, as well. The officer asks him "Do you want to do this over a rock?" As Hernandez attempts to walk away, the officer warns bystanders away. While he has his gun drawn, another cop (whose point of view is shown at 01:16) attempts to go less-than-lethal with a TASER, but Hernandez breaks out in a run. Turning, he throws a rock which hits the first officer in the head. This constitutes Academy-textbook deadly force- while it may not kill the officer outright, it presents the possibility of the officer being knocked unconscious and his weapons taken. Therefore, the officer shoots Hernandez with one round. Although aid was rendered on-scene, Hernandez later died after being transported to an area hospital. The officer was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

Smoke Guy vs Cops

This wild footage coming from Denver, Colorado, shows officers attempting to resolve a rapidly unfolding hostage situation in an area gas station. The suspect and hostage taker didn't have enough money for a pack of cigarettes, and the situation deteriorated to him pulling out a handgun and taking the staff hostage. When a gunshot rings out inside the gas station, the responding officers are left with no choice but to dynamically attempt to stop the shooter. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Hosea Moore, 35 years of age, attempted to buy a single cigarette upon realizing he did not have enough money for a whole pack. When the clerks informed him that they didn't sell singles, he pulled out a handgun and told them to lock the doors. Moore went so far as to put his ID on the counter, as if he intended for this to go down a specific way. He also drank several bottles of Fireball and smoked the cigarette he wanted so evidently desperately. As the officers arrived to respond to this situation, they heard a gunshot inside the store. Breaching through the glass, they encountered Hosea as they moved to protect the clerks. A gunfight ensued, with both the suspect and the officers firing multiple rounds- between both parties, an approximate 70 rounds were fired. After the chaos subsided, Moore was in critical condition. He was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital. Both the gas station clerks suffered minor injuries- ironically, these were determined to have been caused by spalling and fragments of the officers' rounds. These minor wounds were quickly treated and both were released from care the same night. One of the responding officers was shot in the leg. Released the following day, he is expected to recover.

Suspect's weapon jams Cops weapons don't

This footage from Seattle, Washington, shows several officers responding to a call which initially concerned a man armed with an axe. However, the suspect fled upon officer contact. Understanding the man to be armed, the officers tried to use less-than-lethal options as they attempted to corner the man. Things take a sharp turn as the suspect produces a handgun and points it at an officer- before experiencing a malfunction. As he struggles with the weapon, several officers open fire, ultimately killing him. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Jack Paleli, 46 years of age, had a solid five seconds of uninterrupted time to fire before the police began to shoot. Had his weapon not jammed, or had he properly known what to do about it, this video may have had a different outcome. But as it stands, no officers or bystanders were injured. Paleli was pronounced dead on-scene.

Charging Cops with a knife is still a bad idea

This bodycam footage, from Amherst, New York, shows a suspect armed with a knife as she charges police officers. Without the element of surprise, this naturally results in the woman being shot. Fortunately, a suicide-by-cop situation was avoided as the suspect survived her injuries. However, due to the subject matter, viewer discretion is advised. Amherst police officers were alerted that Tanisha Green, 26 years of age, was armed with a knife and behaving in a menacing manner. They took the threat seriously, arriving on-scene with AR-15s ready. Green charged at one of the officers, at which point she was shot. Due to medical aid rendered on-scene and follow-on care at an area hospital, she survived her injuries. She was indicted on arraignment for second-degree menacing and menacing a Police Officer- charges which together could incur a 20-year sentence. With the caveat that I am not a lawyer, charging an officer with a deadly weapon can and has been considered deadly intent in numerous prior cases across several states. The fact that she was not charged with attempted murder at worst and assault at best could indicate either a plea deal or the court recognizing mental health as an issue.

Out and out gunfight at SoCal in and out

This compilation of dashcam, bodycam, and thermal helicopter footage shows a gunfight at an In-And-Out restaurant in Laguna Hills, California. Multiple officers from area departments attempted to stop a suspected stolen vehicle which was connected to a recent murder, but the suspect fled. After a vehicle chase, the suspect exited his vehicle and initiated a gunfight with the police officers. The suspect is struck by gunfire and ultimately killed. Viewer discretion is advised. When a license plate reader alerted them, area police officers attempted to interdict a vehicle which was implicated in a murder that occurred earlier in the day. However, the suspect refused to stop, leading the officers on a chase. He was later identified as Andre Matijasevic, 31 years of age. He led the police on a vehicle pursuit before parking and exiting the vehicle. He fired at officers and their vehicles as he made his way toward a local In-And-Out fast food restaurant with patrons and staff inside. During the exchange of gunfire, Matijasevic was struck multiple times. Even as he fell prone to the ground he continued to fire, resulting in a Hallmark example of why police shoot until the threat has subsided. A K9 unit was deployed to assist in separating the suspect from his weapon. Despite aid rendered on-scene, the suspect was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

NYPD arrest warrant turns into goat rope

This combination of security camera and bodycam footage comes courtesy of the New York Police Department (NYPD). It shows their officers attempting to apprehend a suspect wanted for armed robbery. In serving this warrant, the officers make some decidedly confusing choices. After discharging a weapon in his apartment, the suspect charges out of the domicile and seriously injures an officer before trying to flee. Another officer fires, striking the suspect twice. Although he survives, viewer discretion is advised. NYPD officers gathered at the apartment of Antonio Morales, 18 years of age, in order to serve a warrant for his arrest. Morales was suspected of robbery at gunpoint. When the officers made contact, he at first refused to open the door. Morales was heard to fire several rounds from a weapon inside the apartment, which prompts one officer to hold the door for some reason- as if that'll stop him shooting through it- while the other officers draw weapons and dither in an almost textbook crossfire. Morales pries the door from the officer trying to hold it and charges down the hallway toward what I assume is a security officer before doubling back and shoving Officer Doorstop to the ground. The downed officer suffered a serious head injury. Morales passes by the only officer in the footage who looks like he's in shape for tackling a fleeing suspect- who, despite having a gun drawn, has been mostly engaged in holding the elevator open- and gets shot twice by a female officer not seen in the latter part of the security footage. While she had been holding the perimeter, Morales had been heading her direction, presumably to escape the main door. He all but literally smacks into her, and she seems almost surprised as the suspect when she hits him with two rounds. Although his weapon cannot be seen, it has to be said that she had every reason to believe him to be armed in a rapidly unfolding situation. Morales was transported to an area hospital, and his handgun was found on-scene. Morales has been charged with the following in addition to the original warrant: Reckless Endangerment, Assaulting a Police Officer, Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Miami deputies in apartment shootout

This footage, provided by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office in Florida, shows their Deputies responding to a suspect actively attempting to shoot someone in a local apartment complex. When they locate the suspect, still armed, a gunfight ensues. Although the victim ultimately survived her injuries, viewer discretion remains advised. 911 calls alerted the Sheriff's Office that the suspect, later identified as Javier Jara, 50 years of age, was attempting to shoot someone. Cell phone footage supplied by a witness shows Jara acting erratically and jumping through a window. He confronts someone before returning to his apartment on the 4th floor and shooting a 46-year-old woman in the chest and firing several more rounds in the apartment. Witnesses then pointed the Deputies to Jara's location, where an exchange of gunfire ensued. When Jara continued to try to manipulate his handgun, the officers established a perimeter and await SRT. SRT found Jara unresponsive, whereupon local Fire Rescue pronounced him deceased. His victim was taken to an area hospital and was stabilized, ultimately surviving her injuries. California Cop stops stabbing in progress

This bodycam footage shows a Santa Clara police officer responding to a 911 call regarding a stabbing. The victim managed to take the knife, which broke, away from the attacker, whereupon he pulled out a second knife and continued trying to stab the victim. The officer arrived to see the struggle happening in real-time, whereupon he shot the suspect. Viewer discretion is advised. The 911 call stated that the suspect, Mohammed Nizamuddin, 30 years of age, was stabbing one of his roommates with a large knife, at which point police were dispatched. As they travelled to the address, the situation evolved. The victim managed to wrest the knife from Nizamuddin, and it broke. Clearly committed to murdering his roommate, Nizamuddin drew a second knife and resumed stabbing. By the time the officers arrived, the victim had been stabbed several times in the chest and abdomen, and had suffered defensive wounds to his hands. The officers forced entry and found Nizamuddin mid-stabbing. Although there were three other people in the home, they apparently did nothing but call 911. As the suspect's hand came down with the knife, the officer shot four times, hitting Nizamuddin with all four rounds. The police removed the victim from the home and rendered medical aid until EMS arrived. Although aid was also rendered to a handcuffed Nizamuddin, he died at an area hospital. Despite his extensive injuries, the victim survived. No officers or other persons were hurt.

Texas Cops and good Samaritans team up to save infant

This bodycam footage comes from Fort Worth, Texas, and occurred on 23 October 2025. Fort Worth Sergeant Nichols and Officer Bounds responded to a vehicle collision, wherein a mother and her infant child were ejected from their vehicle. Even more horrifically, the infant was pinned under the vehicle after it rolled over and was unresponsive. While we stress that this story has a happy ending, due to the subject matter and nature of the patient, viewer discretion is advised. The two officers, along with bystanders turned Good Samaritan after having seen the accident occur, managed to get the car off of the child. Sergeant Nichols began CPR and roused the child, keeping her alive and responsive until EMS arrived. The out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest survival rate in children hovers around 6-10 percent, according to a study on file at the National Library of Medicine. BB Gun gets suspect shot for real

This compilation from Mesa, Arizona, includes the 911 call, security camera and bodycam footage of an incident which occurred on 18 September 2025. Officers were called to respond to a female complainant's husband, who was reportedly drunkenly throwing things and moving to and from his vehicle with a handgun. When the officers arrive, he points it at them and is shot. However, ex post facto, the weapon the suspect had was in fact a realistic-looking BB gun. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect's wife stated within the 911 call that she believed the weapon to be fake, and that he had made threats that she would become a widow. With the benefit of hindsight and all the facts, this may seem like a very clearly stated indicator for suicide by cop. However, the officers can't take the woman's word that the gun is fake at the risk of their own lives, and have to treat the situation as a potentially deadly one. Therefore, they do what any reasonable and prudent officer would do when a threat points a weapon at them, and drop him. Although aid was rendered on-scene, the suspect, his identity withheld, later died at an area hospital. No other persons were hurt and the weapon was determined to be a BB-firing replica Glock.

Striker fired beats hammer in New Mexico

This footage, coming from Las Cruces, New Mexico, shows an officer called to address reports of a person threatening restaurant staff and customers while wielding a knife and hammer. When the officer makes contact, the suspect advances on him with the hammer despite repeated warnings. The hammer being a deadly weapon, the officer shoots and kills the suspect. Viewer discretion is advised. Phillip Mullen, 50 years of age, exits his car and advances aggressively toward the officer, hammer in-hand. The officer tells him to stop and not to raise the weapon no less than eight times. However, Mullen continues to advance while the officer backpedals to keep him from closing the distance between them. This retreating situation is untenable, and the officer is forced to shoot Mullen three times. From a tactical perspective, holstering and changing weapon systems could have provided the suspect a window or reactionary gap within which to attack. Although aid is rendered on-scene, the released video almost completely obfuscates it and as such, it is omitted from this cut for the sake of brevity. Mullen was pronounced dead on-scene.

Deranged suspect throwing construction materials gets dropped

This bodycam footage comes from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where an officer is called to address a public disturbance in the early morning of 24 September, 2025. Upon contact, the suspect begins yelling offensive statements and theological improbabilities despite the officer attempting to de-escalate. When the suspect moves aggressively toward the officer, the officer uses OC spray, at which point the man starts throwing construction materials. He is warned to stop, and is eventually shot due to the potential harm he had the ability to cause with the bricks and boards. Although he survived the shooting, the suspect is currently hospitalized and viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Jason Redshirt, 45 years of age, repeatedly threatened that the officer and others would be killed. Despite his attempts to de-escalate Redshirt, the officer is compelled to escalate to an intermediate weapon- OC spray. Redshirt then flees to a trailer filled with bricks, boards, and similar debris, and begins throwing them at the officer, who then shoots him. Redshirt has been hospitalized and the officer placed on leave. Use of lethal force, whether it actually kills the suspect or not, is based on three pillars. Ability, opportunity, and intent- in other words, "does the subject have the means to kill me/someone, is in a position to kill me/someone, and has demonstrated that to be their perceived goal". Some agencies I've worked with teach the last point as "preclusion"- that is, "is trying to kill someone the only thing their actions could possibly intend." Technically, ability and opportunity are satisfied by his proximity to and ability to throw potentially permanently-damaging things. Intent is satisfied by his stating that he would kill the officer. However, with the disclaimer that I am not a lawyer, I am not convinced that the officer had no other means to address this situation. I can't confirm whether or not he had other intermediate means at his disposal such as a TASER, but certainly, backing up further than Redshirt could throw a 2x4 and calling for some help was an option, provided Redshirt hadn't been training for the caber toss at the Highland Games. The lengthy amount of time and warnings the officer gives Redshirt between throws speaks to the lack of urgency here. It's a tough call and I'm glad I don't have to make it, but while he may be legally in the clear to continue working, I would not be surprised to see a civil suit come down the pipeline.

Pistol whipping off duty Cop doesn't work out

This dashcam footage shows an off-duty police officer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On his way to work, he gets in a minor fender-bender with another driver, who decides the appropriate decision is to brandish a firearm and strike the officer with it. The officer, a 21-year-veteran, is not intimidated and draws his own firearm. In the ensuing gunfire, the suspect is hit and killed, while the officer is unscathed apart from the head injury. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, at this time unidentified apart from his 23 years of age, hits the officer in the mouth with his pistol at the approximate 40 second mark. Relatively calmly, he draws his own pistol and manages to fire on the suspect, despite the suspect already having his weapon out. The suspect clearly thought he held all the cards here, but you can almost see his OODA loop grinding to a halt as he realizes he's picked the wrong guy to try to bully. He tries to use his car for cover but the officer keeps lighting him up when he tries to emerge. Then the penny drops: "Milwaukee Police." Uninjured by the suspect's ineffective gunfire, the police officer shown was placed on administrative leave after being treated for his facial injury, pending an investigation of the shooting- normal practice for an OIS. No other persons were harmed.

Suspect rushes California Cop with shovel

This compilation of dashcam and bodycam footage comes from Anaheim, California, where police received reports of a man unknown to the area, potentially under the influence of drugs, was exhibiting suspicious behavior. Reports at different times indicated the man was in possession of a broken brick and shovel. When the officer made contact with the suspect, the shovel-wielding suspect charged immediately, swinging at the car first. Despite warnings that he would be shot, the suspect rushed the officer with the shovel, forcing an officer involved shooting. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Rudy Martinez II, 36 years of age, had been spotted loitering near private residences and a school. When the officer made contact, Martinez repeatedly swung the shovel in overhead swings at the car, and then the officer. The Anaheim officer shot five times, dropping Martinez. Although aid by both the police and Anaheim Fire/Rescue was rendered, Martinez succumbed to his wounds at an area hospital. Gunfight in tiny LA liquor store

This compilation of bodycam and surveillance camera footage comes from the Los Angeles Police Department. As LAPD officers attempted to question a suspect regarding what appeared to be a poorly concealed handgun, he fled while drawing it, resulting in an intense exchange of gunfire in a small space. Although no one was killed, the suspect was wounded and, therefore, this video requires viewer discretion. When LAPD officers made contact with Malik Salaah, 33 years of age, he claimed that he did not have any weapons on his person, despite a firearm being evidently visible. As they attempted to search him, he fled into the small store, drawing his handgun. One of the LAPD officers attempted to shoot him as he drew, but Salaah returned fire from the aisle. The officers backed off to establish a perimeter, but Salaah suppressed them with fire as he fled the store. However, a wider police perimeter caught and arrested Salaah a few moments later. Once in custody, he was given aid for a gunshot wound sustained, and transported to an area hospital. The suspect was charged with attempted murder of a peace officer, and his 9-millimeter pistol was found empty in lockback was located within the perimeter containing the scene. Armed shoplifter killed by police truck

This quick clip comes from the Police Department in Pueblo, Colorado, and shows the harrowing last few seconds of a chase in which the suspect, armed and attempting to steal a vehicle, is struck and killed by a police vehicle. Although the video is brief, due to the subject matter and uncensored impact, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Antonio Herrera, 36 years of age, allegedly attempted to shoplift at a local shoe store. Upon being discovered, he brandished a handgun as he fled. As he ran toward an occupied building, and more specifically, a nearby family's vehicle, an officer driving a DICE (Directed Investigation and Community Envolvement) truck interpreted his actions as a threat to the occupants and struck him with the truck. When hit, Herrera let go of his handgun which flew up into perfect view of the dashcam. Herrera was pronounced dead on-scene despite aid rendered. This use of force is currently being investigated. With the caveat that I am not a lawyer and nor were my instructors at the police academy, we were taught that when lethal force is justified, the means by which that force is applied doesn't matter as long as it is tactically and judgmentally sound. In other words, if the most expedient means to neutralize the threat Herrera presented was to hit him with the car rather than get out and shoot, the officer was under no obligation to stop. Just my two cents.

Police captain survives gunshots despite useless backup

his bodycam footage comes from St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and shows local police Captain Gray and his partner investigating a reported assault. It is fairly unusual, and therefore commendable, to see supervisory officers of this rank working in the field at all, let alone taking point. Unfortunately, in trying to make contact with the suspect, Gray is hit twice by the suspect's shotgun. He manages to exfil after getting bailed on by his otherwise ineffective partner, and is then evacuated to an area hospital. Viewer discretion is advised. As Gray ascends the stairs, he makes contact with the victim, who pointed out the suspect down the hall. Reaching the top of the stairs, Gray is hit with the first round at 0:53. A second round is fired at 0:59. His partner, wearing the body camera, retreats downstairs, mistaking the gunfire for flashbangs...somehow. This may have something to do with the rounds being bird or rat shot, but it's still an incredible assumption to jump to. The suspect, later identified as Scott Mason, 38 years of age, can be heard yelling for the police to "get the f--- out." Captain Gray calmly descends the stairs and requests and ambulance as the suspect escapes via a window on the second floor. At 01:40, Gray retains his composure despite being asked if he got hit with a flashbang after having been shot in the face. Between being left behind in a gunfight and the stupid questions, I don't think anyone would blame him for losing his cool, but he remains collected, albeit probably in shock.

Carjacking arrest turns into gunfight

This bodycam and dashcam footage comes from Indianapolis, Indiana, where we see a Metropolitan Police Department officer attempting to apprehend the occupants of a stolen car. However, four-to-one odds are not in this officer's favor, and as he attempts to cuff the driver, a passenger shoots the officer while the others scatter, resulting in a chaotic exchange of gunfire. Viewer discretion is advised. The car's description and plates returned to a vehicle that was registered as stolen the night before. As Officer Renteria followed it to a parking spot, the four suspects inside all took separate actions. The rear passenger on the driver's side fled immediately. Tyson Reach, 19 years of age, appeared to surrender, walking to the front of the vehicle. Officer Renteria took positive control of the driver and attempted to put him in a prone position. As he did so, Reach drew a pistol and shot Officer Renteria, who was hit in the leg. Renteria returned fire, hitting Reach, who fled. As he lay there, Renteria applied a tourniquet to his leg. Reach fell to the ground a short distance from the car. Officers moved to secure him while Renteria was transported to an area hospital, having been given aid by two bystanders. The officer was shot three times, with a fourth not penetrating his vest. The backup officers used a flashbang and ballistic shield to separate Reach from his handgun before transporting him to another hospital, where he later died of his wounds.

Louisiana state trooper mag dumps armed suspect

This compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage comes courtesy of the Louisiana State Troopers, shown here in the attempted interdiction of two narcotics suspects in a chase from Terrebonne Parish to Lafourche Parish. One of the suspects tries to flee on foot and draws a firearm, at which point he is shot and killed. Viewer discretion is advised. LSP attempted a traffic stop on a Ford F-150 containing two persons suspected of narcotic activity: The driver, Jonah Parfait, 46 years of age and passenger, Darien Riffe, 31. The pair did not comply with the traffic stop and instead lead LSP on a chase that crossed parish lines. At the end of the road, Riffe exited on foot. Apparently, the odds seemed better if they split up. He's shown climbing through a cattle gate, at which point the camera switches to the Trooper's bodycam. After a foot chase smattered with references to the taser that I am certain only seem unprofessional due to a thick regional accent, Riffe is shown going prone and drawing a handgun, at which point the Trooper shoots him several times. At least one round is heard from Riffe's weapon while the trooper shoots to lockback and reloads. Despite medical aid rendered, Riffe was declared deceased on-scene. His partner, still driving the F-150, was apprehended after a vehicle collision which caused minor injuries to a bystander. No other persons were harmed.

Despite being warned to drop the weapon, he turns toward the officers with the weapon still in-hand, at which point he gets shot and drops. Thanks to prompt medical aid, the suspect survives in stable condition to await charges. However, due to the graphic nature of the incident, viewer discretion remains advised. The suspect, later identified as one Deontis Williams-Spencer, failed to stop during a traffic interdiction and instead fled on foot, pistol in-hand. When ordered to stop running and drop the weapon, Williams-Spencer instead opted to turn toward the officers. This is, and I cannot stress this enough, never the right decision. Williams-Spencer got shot and fell to the ground. Police and Fire personnel collaborated to provide aid and transport the suspect to an area hospital. Once stabilized, he was charged with obstruction of official business and aggravated menacing. His girlfriend, the passenger, was not charged with any crime.

76 Year old gunman takes on Indiana Cops

This compilation of juxtaposed body and dashcam footage comes from Indianapolis, Indiana. Police responded to a domestic disturbance where a woman was found shot Despite medical intervention, the victim later passed. As they pursued the suspect- a 76-year-old man- a rolling gunfight ensued until the suspect exited the vehicle, at which point they exchanged rounds on foot. The suspect, found in possession of a handgun and AR-style pistol, died from gunshot wounds received. Therefore, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Walter McNary, 76 years of age, fired at officers several times, prompting them to return fire from their vehicles. After McNary exited his vehicle, he hid behind a corner and emerged, pointing his weapon at an officer, who ended the confrontation with a round from his patrol rifle. McNary went down and was unresponsive, but within reach of his weapon. Therefore out of an abundance of caution, SWAT was called to close with and secure McNary. Although medical aid was provided, McNary was pronounced deceased at an area hospital. Two police vehicles were damaged by his gunfire, but no officers or other persons were injured

Erratic Florida Man draws on deputy

This bodycam footage comes from Bay County, Florida, where several 911 calls came in regarding an armed man exhibiting erratic and aggressive behavior. Although the reports mistook it for an assault rifle, when a Bay County Deputy made contact, the long arm was found to be a mag-fed shotgun, along with the pistol on the suspect's belt. Despite being warned against it, the suspect drew the pistol and pointed it at the Deputy, resulting in an Officer Involved Shooting (OIS). Viewer discretion is advised. Justin Smith, 45 years of age, had been contacted by law enforcement the previous evening regarding trespassing and harassment. The following morning, a Bay County Deputy made contact. When he closed with Smith to take the shotgun from him, Smith became increasingly agitated and reached for his pistol. Although plenty of other cops would have shot Smith and been justified in doing it, this Deputy gave him a warning. Unfortunately, his clemency was wasted and Smith drew, exchanging fire with the Deputy. In the ensuing gunfight, Smith fired six rounds to the Deputy's seven. The Deputy was unharmed, but hit Smith. Once the suspect was downed, the Deputy provided medical aid until paramedics arrived. However, Smith was declared deceased on-scene. No other persons were harmed.

Texan bystander grapples with armed criminal

This compilation of bodycam footage comes from Austin, Texas. Local police had been investigating a suspect for a string of crimes, including burglaries in which firearms had been stolen. When they located the suspect, he drew a handgun. A bystander immediately tried to grapple with the suspect rather than become a victim. Despite his heroic efforts, the suspect fired a round at the bystander before being shot by police. Viewer discretion is advised. The bystander reportedly stated that the actions of the suspect, Raymond Howard, 33 years of age, made him fear that he was in imminent danger. Howard ignored commands to lower his weapon and shot the bystander, who still made efforts to restrain him. Police responded by shooting Howard, and although they rendered aid, the suspect was pronounced dead on-scene. The bystander was transported to an area hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and released the same day.

Viewer discretion is advised. While details are scant at present- at least until I work on my French some more- a 35-year-old Tunisian man who had been on probation went on a rampage at a hotel in the First Arrondissement in Marseille, stabbing four people. Police responded and shot the suspect outside the hotel, and the Tunisian was pronounced dead on-scene.

New York Cop drops pistol whipper

This one's admittedly a little nuts. While investigating a possible carjacking, two police officers in Rochester, New York, witnessed a completely unrelated attempted murder. A male was observed chasing and shooting at another male, and after a short pursuit, found the armed suspect atop the victim, pistol-whipping him repeatedly. He refused to stop doing so, at which point the suspect was shot once before being taken into custody. Although all parties survive, viewer discretion remains advised. It is not immediately clear why the suspect, later identified as Lavar McKnight, 48 years of age, was attempting to kill his victim. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the jaw, and McKnight appeared intent on finishing him off by any means necessary. After being shot, both McKnight and his victim were transported to an area hospital. However, while McKnight has thus been charged with several counts of criminal possession and usage of a weapon, to date (27 September 2025) his charges do not include attempted or premeditated murder.

Armed meth user tries to attack his parents

This footage comes from Vancouver Washington, and is dated 30 July, 2025. Here, we see Vancouver officers and Clark County deputies responding to a 911 call which stated that the caller's son was armed, under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine, and was trying to enter their home. Despite repeated warnings from the police, the suspect refused to drop the weapon and was shot. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Brandon Whitcomb, 36 years of age, had broken the front door of his parents' home and attempted to make entry with a pistol. When police began to arrive, he fled the scene on a bicycle. A short time later, a Clark County deputy observed him with the gun, at which point the officer involved shooting occurred. Despite multiple warnings to drop the weapon and get on the ground, Whitcomb refused. Whitcomb continued to present a threat to the officers, and was shot four times by a Clark County deputy. Deputy Gonzalez is currently on critical incident leave, and Whitcomb was pronounced dead on-scene.

Texas Cop takes gunshot and finishes the fight

This compilation of dashcam and bodycam footage comes from Houston, Texas. It shows several police officers responding to reports of a "suspicious person with a weapon," and exchanging fire with the suspect. During the course of the event, a Houston Police sergeant takes a round, but stays in the fight until the suspect is downed, at which point he has a tourniquet applied and a team of officers restrain the suspect. Although the suspect and the officer both survive, due to the subject matter, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Bobby Alverado, 36 years of age, shot a Houston Sergeant after being ordered to show his hands. However, Sergeant George barely broke his stride despite being hit, and apart from a stream of perfectly understandable invectives, he remained completely cogent and in control. He and another officer returned fire and took down Alverado, at which point medics were called to treat both Sergeant George and the suspect. At the cessation of hostilities, a partner helps the Sergeant administer a tourniquet. He demonstrates complete competency, instructing his partner to put it on high and tight. Simply put, the man's a badass. Once restrained, Alverado was treated and transported to an area hospital. He is currently in stable condition and the full list of his charges is pending, as of writing.

Argentine Federal Officer takes on three attackers

This compilation of security camera footage comes from Villa Centenario, Argentina. A group of attackers makes their move on two people getting into a car outside of their home. Unfortunately for the would-be assault team, the driver is an armed Federal Agent and doesn't hesitate in the slightest. One of the attackers is hit in the chest and ostensibly killed while the others scatter. Viewer discretion is advised. As the attack happened at the officer's home, it is unclear whether this was a targeted attack or a supreme piece of bad luck on the part of the attackers. In either case, he is confident in his skills enough to take on three-to-one odds without flinching. In a tale as old as conflict, deliberate, decisive violence turned the tables despite a numerical advantage, because everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

This compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage shows police from various agencies in Reno, Nevada, engaging and exchanging gunfire with an active shooter at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. As they arrived on-scene, they immediately traded fire with the suspect who was struck and ultimately killed. While the suspect is obscured, due to the nature of this incident, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Dakota Hawver, 26 years of age, immediately fired on the police as they arrived at the Casino, less than three minutes after the callout. Multiple agencies returned fire, neutralizing the suspect as EMS elements made entry into the Grand Sierra to provide medical aid. There were six victims, and despite the best efforts of the Reno Fire Department and regional EMS, three of them died from their injuries. Hawver is reported to have died two days later on July 30, as result of his injuries.

Fleeing suspect opens fire on LAPD

This compilation of bodycam and security camera footage shows LAPD Gang Enforcement Officers conducting a stop, in suspicion that the contact has a handgun. They are proven correct when the suspect open fire as he flees. One of the officers is hit, but the suspect is arrested without being shot after an impressive tackle. Nonetheless, viewer discretion remains advised. The suspect, later identified as Ernesto Sepulveda, 26 years of age, is momentarily detained by the LAPD officers, who are operating under the suspicion that he has a handgun in his pocket. However, when Sepulveda gets off his bike, he takes off, firing his weapon as he runs. The officer closest to Sepulveda is shot in the leg and goes down. He also suffers a graze to his face. While his partner stops to help him, a second pair of officers interdicts Sepulveda, who can be seen dropping his weapon at 02:38 before running into a nearby park. One picks up Sepulveda's handgun as they chase him. One of this pair executes an NFL-worthy tackle at 02:51, scraping Sepulveda across the asphalt to a halt before feeding him a left hook that's impeccably timed against another officer slamming their car door. He, his partner, and a third arrest and cuff Sepulveda with superior numbers. The wounded officer was transported and treated at an area hospital, and is in stable condition. Sepulveda was treated for a laceration to the head, possibly as a result of the tackle or the follow-up strikes, which were deemed a "Non-Categorical Use Of Force" by LAPD.

Rochester Cops drop armed person of suspicion

This compilation of bodycam footage comes from Rochester, New York. Multiple calls came in regarding a person in a red jumpsuit acting suspiciously, including a report that he tried to get in someone's occupied vehicle. When police tried to make contact with the suspect, he tried to flee, at which point the officers went hands-on. The suspect resisted and afterward drew a handgun, at which point the officers shot and killed him. Viewer discretion is advised. Akintude Campbell, 38 years of age was reported by several 911 callers as exhibiting suspicious behavior, from wandering door-to-door to attempting to get in someone's car. Having an articulable reason to detain him, the officers attempt to physically restrain Campbell from leaving. He resists and creates distance, at which point they begin talking, to create a delay. However, their suspicions that Campbell has a gun are proven correct when he presents and refuses to drop it. After several warnings, Campbell still refuses to drop the weapon and is shot several times by both officers. Despite medical aid rendered, Campbell was pronounced dead on-scene by EMS. A pistol with a 13-round magazine was recovered.

Suspect fires gun inches from Cop's Head

This compilation of bodycam and traffic cam footage covers an incident which occurred on 22 June, 2025, in Rochester, New York. As the police attempt to apprehend a suspect wanted for murder, he draws and fires a handgun close to an officer's ear and is shot in return by another officer. Although all parties survived this Officer Involved Shooting, viewer discretion remains advised. Edison Estremera-Cohen, 35 years of age, was wanted for shooting and killing someone earlier in the day. Rochester officers encountered the suspect on a bicycle. The intent to stop the bike is probably why the officers closed with and went hands-on with Estremera-Cohen, despite considering him to be armed and dangerous with a known criminal history. Whether it was a calculated risk or not, it proved to be a mistake. The suspect drew a 9-millimeter handgun and fired it so close to an officer's head that despite the bullet missing, the officer still sustained injuries from the muzzle blast. A second officer returned fire and dropped Estremera-Cohen. Despite his several gunshot wounds, thanks to immediate care and rapid transport, Estremera-Cohen survived and was booked four days later for two counts of Murder 2, Attempted Murder of a Police Officer (Aggravated), Armed Robbery, and four counts of criminally possessing a firearm.

LA county cop mag dumps home invader mid stabbing

This bodycam footage comes from Lynwood, in California's Los Angeles County. Here we see county deputies responding to what was reported as a burglary in progress, only to find a dynamically evolving situation involving a hostage and a suspect attempting to stab her. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, later identified as Federico Rodriguez, 45 years of age, was spotted inside the home of the victim, while the victim was still inside. He appeared to be holding a pair of scissors in a weapon-like manner. When ordered to drop them, Rodriguez fled to another part of the building. Rodriguez' armed presence in the home along with the victim constituted a rapidly-evolving hostage situation. The LA County deputies began to implement a plan to rescue the victim. However, as they made entry, he was heard stabbing her. They found Rodriguez in the hallway, stabbing the victim with a knife whilst in a kneeling position (01:38). The responding officer emptied a full magazine of 13 rounds into Rodriguez before helping to extract the victim. Aid was provided on-scene to both the suspect and the victim. Although both were transported to area hospitals, Rodriguez was reported deceased sometime after transport. The knife used in the stabbing was recovered, and no other persons were injured.

Viewer discretion is advised. Karl Gregory, 46 years of age, was wanted in connection to a murder that occurred in nearby New York City. Having found his vehicle unoccupied in the parking lot, the Woodbridge Police began to interview potential witnesses in the hotel when Gregory appeared, carrying several backpacks. He reached into one of them and produced a handgun, resulting in a rather chaotic exchange of gunfire. It must be said that these officers put themselves in an atrocious crossfire situation, although no blue-on-blue occurred. Chicago Cop shot in struggle with suspect

This bodycam footage, coming from Chicago, Illinois, shows police officers attempting to detain a suspect. During the hands-on struggle, one of the officers is shot in the leg, whereupon another cop shoots the suspect, killing him. Viewer discretion is advised. The Chicago Police are shown here attempting to conduct an investigatory stop on the suspect, later identified as Nathaniel Fejerang, 19 years of age. However, Fejerang instead flees, and after a short chase, he ends up being forced down by two of the officers. Among other verbal commands, "Stop reaching!" can be heard at 0:27. At the thirty second mark, a shot rings out, and one of the officers is hit in the leg. As the surrounding officers get distance and cover, one of the contact officers shoots Fejerang several times. Meanwhile, the stricken officer immediately begins self-administering a tourniquet. One of his partners takes over, placing it very high on the left leg. This is commensurate with current doctrine, which states that when searching for a specific wound location isn't feasible, it's best to go as high as possible on the injured limb. After all, blood that can't go downstream can't leak out. Furthermore, they are correct in prioritizing the wounded officer over Fejerang. The officer who shot Fejerang reports that the suspect's weapon is visible. The suspect is lying still with a rather telling pool of blood under his head. There is a general mood of disarray as the officers discuss what to do with Fejerang while waiting on medical aid for the wounded officer. Eventually, they get the wounded man into a squad car for transport to an area hospital.

The suspect, later identified as Joshua Coffey, 48 years of age, was spotted on private property. When Deputy Cal Landon attempted to make contact with Coffey, the suspect fled on foot. After a short chase, Coffey pretended to surrender before drawing a handgun and taking two shots at Deputy Landon. Landon transitioned to his service weapon and dropped Coffey, who died gun-in-hand, finger on the trigger. Neither Landon nor any bystanders were reported to be wounded in the exchange.

Syracuse Cops trade shots with wheelchair gunman

This bodycam footage, coming from Syracuse, New York, records a recent Officer Involved Shooting. What sets this incident apart from others is that the suspect, who was reportedly firing gunshots in and around his apartment complex, was wheelchair-bound. Although the graphic moment of impact on the suspect has been censored, due to the nature of the content, viewer discretion is advised. Donnell Hogan, 42 years of age, had been allegedly firing in the building when the police officers shown here arrived on-scene. They're shown doing an objectively good job of clearing the apartment complex on their way up to Hogan, calling out the room types ("Corner fed, on the right!") and coordinating a plan as they go. There is a lot of obvious value placed on hand signals and knowing what your team will do, but that level of cohesion isn't always a given. Great communication can cover a lot of tactical shortfalls. That said, things get a little more murky when they make contact with Hogan, who is seated in his wheelchair and carrying a handgun. Officers allege that he fired first, prompting them to fire back. Similarly, at the end of the engagement, one of the officers is heard remarking that Hogan shot himself, although the official ruling has not been decided at time of writing (04 July 2025). It is worth noting that a gun was found in Hogan's possession. These officers made tactically sound decisions, but shooting a disabled person- whether they engineered the outcome or not- is never going to seem inherently just, and the optics are always going to be rough, at least at first.

Shooting suspect gets chased down and lit up

Coming from Anaheim, California, this compilation of bodycam and air unit footage covers a wild vehicle chase and interdiction, culminating in eight Anaheim police officers firing at and killing the suspect. The incident stemmed from reports that the suspect had shot someone at a nearby motel. Viewer discretion is advised. Danny Cuelho, 51 years of age from La Habra, fled the scene of a reported shooting in a white Chevrolet Silverado. In a chase that lasted an approximate 45 minutes, the police attempted several PIT maneuvers before finally disabling the vehicle. Several police cruisers were used to pin the truck, at which point the officers drew their handguns on Cuelho. Understanding Cuelho to be armed, they opened fire when he did not obey commands. A total of eight officers fired on Cuelho, who was pronounced dead on-scene. A passenger in the truck was uninjured, and Anaheim police are working to discover the passenger's connection to the shooting, if any. Although it was not found during an initial search, a warrant-based search revealed a handgun in Cuelho's Tahoe. Cuelho had a lengthy criminal record which included gang activity. The initial victim was transported to an area hospital, where they are in stable condition. No other persons were injured.

Suspect steals shotgun and cruiser

This compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage comes from Macon Illinois, and captures a harrowing incident in which a machete-wielding suspect steals a police car and the long gun inside, before getting in a showdown with local law enforcement. Although all parties survive, viewer discretion is advised. Deputies from the Macon County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for service regarding a man later identified as Oscar McCurry, 38 years of age. He was reportedly waving a machete at the customers of a gas station in the area. Although the video does not explicitly show how, he apparently managed to elude the deputies long enough to get behind the wheel of a cruiser and take off. After a chase which involved a deputy taking shots at McCurry, the suspect slams the stolen vehicle into the pursuing deputy's truck ( 03:07). The deputy is shown exiting his vehicle and retreating to the tailgate for cover. Meanwhile, McCurry is parking the stolen cruiser in the middle of the road and posting up at the hood with the shotgun that was inside. The deputy, although obviously and understandably rattled if not outright concussed, runs to the fight, gun drawn- a commendable act, in and of itself. He maintains a clear line of sight on McCurry as he retreats from another officer who is advancing on the suspect with his handgun. That's a bold choice of action versus a suspect with a shotgun. However, for reasons unknown, McCurry hesitates. The Deputies don't. Amazingly, despite being shot, McCurry survived and was transported to an area hospital after a 20 minute wait. The injured deputy was taken to the hospital as well, but released same-day. McCurry's charges are still pending, and he is currently in the Macon County jail.

Police gunfight in El Paso

This bodycam footage comes from the Police Department in El Paso, Texas. The officers are shown responding to a reported fight in progress, and one of the combatants draws a pistol on the police. In the resulting gunfight, an officer is wounded and the suspect is killed. As such, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Salvador Valdiviezo, 35 years of age, walks out of the house and points a pistol at the officers, who then open fire. In the exchange, one of the officers takes a round to her right leg. She was taken to an area hospital and admitted in stable condition. Valdiviezo, also transported to a hospital, died of his wounds. Valdiviezo was a Registered Nurse working at Three Crosses Regional Hospital in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and a US Navy veteran. Milwaukee Cops get in alleyway gunfight

This compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage comes from the Police Department in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While conducting routine patrol operations, officers were flagged down by concerned citizens regarding two persons who were supposedly flashing handguns to intimidate people. When the officers made contact, a brief gunfight broke out. Although no one was killed, both a police officer and a suspect were wounded in the exchange. Therefore, viewer discretion is advised. In this instance, the names of the suspects were not given. However, when the police tried to conduct an investigatory stop in reference to the reported handguns, the two suspects, aged 19 and 39 respectively, attempted to flee. When an officer caught up to the 39-year-old and demanded he drop the gun, he refused. Both he and the officer exchanged gunfire, and both were hit by non-lethal shots. The second, younger suspect surrendered without any resistance given. Both the wounded parties were taken to an area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The officer involved has received such a good prognosis that he is reportedly already recovering at home.

Acting on this information, the police arrive on-scene and are guided to Ramos' location by neighbors and bystanders. California Cops gunfight with robbery suspect

This combination of bodycam and cellphone footage shows deputies in Lancaster, California attempting to detain a suspect wanted for an armed robbery. Bystanders look on and record as his active resistance escalates to drawing a handgun and firing as the LEOs attempt to cuff him. Viewer discretion is advised. Erik Berrios, 31 years of age, was wanted in connection to an armed robbery which was reported via 911 call. Upon contact, Los Angeles County deputies found Berrios unwilling to comply, and when they tried to effect his arrest, Berrios made an attempt to flee. As the deputies pinned him, Berrios drew a handgun. At this point, one of the deputies attempted to use a TASER. It is not clear whether Berrios deliberately fired as a reaction to being tased, or due to neuromuscular incapacitation. In either case, using a device which forces muscles to clench on an armed suspect within contact distance of officers is probably not classified as "best practice." Berrios fired a round, catching one of the deputies in the lower abdomen. This prompted the LAPD deputies to respond with lethal force. Berrios was pronounced dead on-scene despite aid rendered, and the stricken deputy was transported to an area hospital in "critical but stable" position. A 9-millimeter "ghost gun" was found in Berrios' possession. No other persons were harmed.

Suspect nearly crushes Texas Cop, gets shot

This compilation of bodycam footage shows cops from Houston, Texas attempting to interdict a suspect vehicle. The car, a blue Nissan Versa, had been implicated in a recent theft. The driver attempts to flee, and strikes another car in the heavy traffic. In so doing, the driver pins a police officer between the frame of the Versa and the bystander's vehicle. The pinned sergeant then shoots the suspect. Although the wounds are censored, blood is visible, which necessitates viewer discretion. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Maxie Whitaker, 42 years of age. When he tried to flee in the suspect vehicle, his attempt to squeeze through traffic instead placed Sergeant Marquez in extreme danger as two bystander vehicles squeezed the door. This caused the sergeant to fire in order to neutralize further threat. We see the incident first from a partner's view, and then the sergeant's. Whitaker was taken to an area hospital and admitted in critical condition. He has been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer. Bank robber carjacker gets shut down

This combination of security, dashcam, bodycam and victim cell phone footage comes from Concord, California. Here, we see two suspects rob a bank before fleeing in a high-speed chase that involves multiple carjackings and culminates in an officer-involved shooting. Viewer discretion is advised. The two suspects are shown via security camera as they rob the Diablo Valley Credit Union in nearby Concord, California. One suspect, later identified as Cruz Vargas, 29 years of age- from nearby San Jose- is shown in possession of a handgun with drum magazine. Authorities will later discover the handgun has been illegally modified to fire automatically. As the two suspects flee the bank, Concord police give chase until the suspect vehicle is disabled. They remedy this by attempting several carjackings until their stolen vehicle becomes involved in a collision. Both suspects flee on foot, but Concord Police continue to chase Vargas. One of the Concord officers sees Vargas attempt another carjacking, at which point he fires, striking Vargas. He was arrested and provided medical aid and transport to a nearby hopital while San Jose police apprehended his partner, still in possession of the money. It was discovered that Vargas was on parole and his partner, Elijah Phillips, had multiple warrants. Both were charged with multiple counts of carjacking, armed robbery, and weapons violations. Seattle Police vs former ranger

This compilation of bodycam footage shows police officers from Seattle, Washington, arriving to a domestic violence call in progress. Upon their arrival, the suspect- reportedly a former Army Ranger- retreats upstairs into his home, where he takes a parting shot at the victim. As she lies there, the Seattle cops take up a perimeter and the clock starts ticking. Due to the nature of the incident, viewer discretion is advised. Objectively speaking, this is disappointing work. The officers allow the suspect to retreat and barricade upstairs, while only meekly announcing their presence as opposed to any decisive action. Because of this, he has the initiative and chooses to use it to shoot the DV victim. Due to some mixture of what I assume is procedure and training along with fear, they leave her where she lay. Officers are similarly indecisive in telling her to move, or not to, but none of them makes any move to get the patient to safety. For almost the entirety of the five minute video she lays there bleeding while they lamely call for a medic. Eventually, one of the officers gets a shot on the suspect through the window. After this recording ended, Fire/EMS extracted and treated the victim while SWAT took over, establishing a perimeter and throwing in a phone line for negotiations. Eventually they made entry and found the shooter dead. It is unclear whether his death was self-inflicted or a result of the officers. The victim was last listed as in serious condition. A pedestrian effort that may yet cost the life of the victim.

Crowd intervenes in Baltimore police shootout

This combination of security camera and police bodycam footage comes from Baltimore, Maryland. It shows police involved in a shootout with an armed suspect. When the suspect goes down, bystanders crowd around him and prevent the police from providing aid in a timely manner. Due to his injuries sustained and likely the delay in care, the suspect is declared dead a short time later. Viewer discretion is advised. BPD officers attempted to make contact with Bilal Abdullah Jr., 36 years of age, at which point he swung his cross-body bag to his chest and began to run. One of the officers chasing Abdullah made physical contact, grabbing him, at which point a gunshot was heard. The BPD officers backed off, taking cover. Abdullah drew a pistol from his bag and pointed it at the officers, who dropped him with gunfire. While an officer was able to recover Abdullah's gun, a crowd of bystanders moved in and prevented the police from effecting his arrest or providing timely medical care. Once the police managed to secure the scene, aid was provided and Abdullah was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. It was also reported that a ricochet round- presumed to be from Abdullah's weapon- struck an officer in the foot, but they were released from the hospital after treatment. No other persons were injured.

Armed rapist gets zapped

This combination of air unit and bodycam footage comes from Oklahoma City. The local police attempted to serve a warrant for the arrest of the suspect, who was wanted for multiple counts of rape. However, he fled from the house, naked and armed. The video shows the moment an officer caught up with the suspect and the officer involved shooting that followed. Viewer discretion is advised. Jose Martinez, 40 years of age, was wanted for three counts of first-degree rape and one count of oral sodomy. However, when Oklahoma City police tried to serve a warrant in his respect, Martinez fled out the back door, as seen here. Despite being naked, he was armed with a handgun. Here, we see an Oklahoma City police officer catch up with Martinez as he throws his handgun over the fence and climbs after it. The officer warns Martinez that he will be killed, but Martinez tries to present the gun anyway, seeming to seek death. The officer grants him his wish, neatly dispatching him with four rounds. Martinez was pronounced dead on-scene.

Florida Cop and suspect fight for multiple guns

This combination of security camera and police bodycam footage comes from Orlando, Florida. When the Orange County Sheriff's Deputy observes a person loitering suspiciously behind a local business and attempts to question him, the suspect attempts to flee. The officer's attempts to restrain the suspect escalate to a full-on fight as the cop throws two handguns away from him. When the suspect gets to the weapons again, the Deputy shoots him. Therefore, viewer discretion is advised. The suspect was later identified as Charles St. Fleur, 24 years of age. During the fracas, St. Fleur temporarily gets the upper hand and punches the officer at least ten times in the head. After doing so, he appears to throw one of the handguns over a nearby fence before going for the other. Whether the Deputy saw the suspect get rid of the first weapon or not, and without considering how vulnerable or disoriented he may have been after taking ten shots to the head, he is not expected to bet his life on St. Fleur's intentions with the second pistol. Charles St. Fleur was transported to an area hospital, as was the Deputy. St. Fleur is listed in stable condition, and the Deputy was treated for head wounds.

Domestic suspect with fake rifle takes real bullet

This compilation of bodycam footage, along with its accompanying 911 call recording, come from Los Angeles, California. LAPD responds to a call for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence in progress, whereupon they encounter a suspect armed with what appears to be an assault rifle. He is dealt with accordingly. Although the suspect survives, the nature of the call and the presence of small children may require viewer's discretion. Due to the high intensity of the call and the reports of a deadly weapon in play, the LAPD officers stack up and pre-plan their entry, including less-than-lethal options. It's honestly excellent work, especially done in such an ad-hoc fashion. However, the suspect (later identified as Shamar Bennett, 26 years of age) is found holding what for all intents and purposes appears to be an AR-platform weapon. Furthermore, he's in a potentially target-rich environment which includes children. This precludes any other tactics for LAPD, beyond neutralizing the suspect ASAP. It's important to note that despite two officers firing, due to the high-stress nature of the incident, Bennett is only hit once, in the leg. We see the officers effect his arrest, care and transport, while clearing the dwelling of four other occupants. Bennett was treated for his injury at a local hospital and absentee booked for corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant. The cohabitant in question was treated for her domestic abuse-related injuries. Bennett's "rifle" was found to be a CO2-powered, fully automatic BB-gun. This, however, has no bearing on the officers' actions, as there was no way to determine this from a distance in exigent, emergency circumstances.

Welfare check to gunfight eight minutes in baltimore

This bodycam footage, coming from Baltimore, Maryland, shows a police officer conducting a welfare check which rapidly escalates to an officer-involved shooting, inside eight minutes. Due to the nature of the violence and the visible aid rendered, viewer discretion is advised. At the beginning of the footage, we see Baltimore County Police Officer Michael Brady attempting to conduct a welfare check on the subject, later identified as Glenn Pettie, 43 years of age. Posting another officer at the front door, Brady calls the complainant before going to an alley at the back of the dwelling at her request. As he comes around back, Ofc. Brady makes visual contact with Pettie, by the back door. Pettie fires a handgun. before fleeing back into the house, resulting in a tense situation as a bystander (presumably the complainant) tries to get out of the line of fire. At 04:19, Pettie re-emerges to fire at Ofc. Brady. Brady returns fire, getting low and using a nearby red car as cover. Shockingly, there's someone in the vehicle. Despite the chaos, Brady remains amazingly calm, instructing the driver to get out of the vehicle while exchanging fire with Pettie and making radio updates. At 05:30, Brady arrests Pettie, who has been visibly wounded in the exchange of gunfire. Again, Brady refuses to lose his composure, referring to the suspect as "sir" and ordering him to get on the ground. His backup officer, who apparently took an entire gunfight to get around the building, helps Brady cuff Pettie. It's only when he inspects the wounds on Pettie that Brady slightly cracks, letting out an audible and well-deserved "holy shit." His partner gets a medical kit and proceeds to do nothing with it, although in her defense, local Fire and EMS arrives moments later. Despite their more competent aid, Glenn Pettie passed away after being transported to an area hospital. A loaded handgun was found on-scene. Miraculously, no bystanders or officers were injured.

California Cop takes a round in his hand

This compilation of 911 call and bodycam footage comes from Bakersfield, California. The victim reported that a suspect was attempting to break into her home while armed with several weapons, including a gun. When the suspect pointed the gun at an officer, a use of lethal force ensued, although no one was killed. Due to the wounds briefly shown, viewer discretion is advised. Sadi Diaz, 42 years of age, broke into a woman's home and attacked her, mid-911. Police arrived to find Diaz on the front porch, and as Diaz pointed a handgun at one of the officers, the police opened fire. Despite being initially struck, Diaz managed to fire back, striking the officer in his hand. Although wounded, the officer manages to stay in the fight and continue to manipulate his weapon, which is no mean feat. Both adrenaline and good training are at work here. Diaz and the officer were transported to a local hospital for treatment, as was the suspect's female victim. All are recovering, and Diaz was charged with: attempted murder, burglary, kidnapping, kidnapping with a firearm, assault on a peace officer, and carrying a loaded firearm without registration. He was found with a hammer, machete, and Glock pistol in his possession.

Texas Cop headshots machete wielding suspect

This bodycam footage comes in from Houston, Texas. In it, we see a police officer attempt to stop an armed robbery suspect. The encounter escalates into an officer-involved shooting and the suspect takes a round to the head. Although the graphic details have been censored, viewer discretion remains advised. The suspect, later identified as Earnest Harrison, 33 years of age, was reported to have robbed a local store, brandishing a "large knife" at employees. Houston PD caught up to him on a nearby bridge, with a machete in-hand. Despite being told to stop, Harrison jogs toward an officer with the machete raised. At this point, she fires one round, striking Harrison in the head. Other officers arrive and help to effect his arrest. Several of the officers, including the one who shot, seem stunned by Harrison's condition. While I understand that stress can make people do and say nonsensical things, "Anyone got Narcan?" is unavoidably humorous. While Narcan has its uses, rapid-onset acute lead poisoning isn't one of them. Furthermore, they genuinely seem confused by the fact that he is bleeding from the head. Houston paramedics transported Harrison to an area hospital, where he remained in critical condition before passing away four days later.

Combative suspect reaches for Cop's gun

This compilation of bodycam and bystander footage from Phoenix, Arizona, shows a traffic stop going badly awry as the suspect gets more and more irate. The situation eventually escalates to a hand-to-hand conflict between the officer and the suspect, who initiates by striking the officer in the head. During the ensuing fight, in which a good Samaritan attempts to break them up, the suspect reaches for the cop's gun. Although all parties survive, viewer discretion remains advised. In a bystander's cell phone recording, we see the officer shoot the suspect in the leg after creating enough distance to do so. Other officers then provided medical aid including a tourniquet to the suspect, and then transported both to an area hospital for their injuries to be treated. The following day, the suspect was booked into jail.

Wanted man reaches and gets shot

This footage, from Los Angeles Police Department, shows their officers in pursuit of a suspect wanted for child abduction. As he is known to possess and carry firearms, when the suspect reaches into his backpack, the officers opt not to take the risk and open fire. Although he survives, viewer discretion is advised. LAPD officers identified Osmin Briseno, 36 years of age, as he was wanted as a suspect in a possible child abduction. When they attempted a pretext traffic stop, Briseno fled in his vehicle. The footage we have here catches up at the point in which Briseno exits his vehicle and attempts to flee on foot. He makes repeated attempts to reach in his pockets and backpack despite being ordered not to. He eventually deliberately faces an officer and makes an overt attempt to reach in the backpack. As the police know Briseno to carry firearms, they deem the risk too great and rightfully open fire. Despite being struck with gunfire and falling to the ground, Briseno survives his wounds. While being treated at an area hospital he was absentee-booked for a litany of charges, including assault with a deadly weapon (unrelated to the incident shown here.)

Fake gun antics get Florida Man shot

Coming from Orlando, Florida, this compilation of security camera and bodycam footage shows a suspect carrying and brandishing what appears to be a handgun. Despite repeated multi-lingual commands to drop it, the suspect refuses to do so, resulting in an escalation to lethal force. Ex post facto, the suspect's handgun was revealed to be a replica. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, identified as Manuel Calderon, 25 years of age, had an extensive criminal record which included drug charges and aggravated assault on an officer with a weapon. Based on this criminal history, and all appearances of the weapon in Calderon's hand, objective reasonableness would lead a prudent officer to conclude that it represents a lethal threat, and thereby justifies the force used.

New York troopers take out Police Station attacker

This bodycam footage from Malta, New York shows police officers responding to shots being fired at their own barracks. They encounter the shooter- a 69 year old man- standing in the parking lot with a rifle. The situation escalates when he points the rifle at them, prompting them to open fire. Although the shooter's body is censored, viewer discretion is advised. Responding to the reports of shots fired at Saratoga Barracks, troopers responded and found Eric Levine, 69 years of age, standing in the parking lot with a rifle. Although they repeatedly prompted him to drop the weapon, Levine instead opted to raise the weapon and point it at the Troopers, at which point they opened fire. Levine was taken to an area hospital, where he was shortly thereafter pronounced dead. We can see from the bodycam that less-lethal was a considered option in the form of bean bag rounds (the blue shotgun shells). The Troopers did their due diligence, but unfortunately, by pointing a lethal weapon at them, Levine removed choice from the equation. Post-incident investigation matched the rounds fired into the barracks to Levine's rifle.

Her stint as a hostage taker is short-lived, and despite censors, viewer discretion is advised. The video shows a Fresno cop arriving at the Manchester Transit Center pursuant to radio traffic regarding a woman with a knife. He warns bystanders to get away from the suspect, later identified as Joanna Lopez, 39 years of age. An older gentleman is unable to get away before Lopez takes him hostage. However, the officer remains cool, calm, collected, and damned near casual as he warns Lopez that she's going to get shot and to put the knife down. She refuses, and the officer takes his opening when he sees it, neatly shooting Lopez in the head with one round. Although he falls to the ground with Lopez, the hostage was not seriously injured in the incident. Whose blood is on the knifepoint is unclear. Lopez was given medical aid and transport to an area hospital, but died shortly therafter. No other persons or animals were harmed. Clean-cut, excellent work by an officer who clearly knows and is comfortable with his skills.

This footage, coming in from San Diego, California, shows a suspect vandalizing a local library and threatening occupants with a hatchet before being intercepted outside by police. As the in-video captions discuss, William Hanley, 53 years of age, walked inside the Pacific Beach Taylor Branch library and began accosting a member of the staff while armed with a hatchet. He then began vandalizing computers and desks with it before leaving. As he left, he was interdicted by San Diego Police officers. Hanley ignored commands to drop the hatchet, saying "No, I'm going to create a scene and the whole world sees it," before raising the weapon. At this point, a cop identified as Ofc. Florida SWAT Team drops armed suspect

This compilation of drone and bodycam footage shows the SWAT team from Jacksonville, Florida, as they attempt to apprehend an armed suspect. Although it is initially a "barricaded suspect" situation, when his actions threaten a nearby trailer, the SWAT officers open fire. Viewer discretion is advised. Jacksonville Police Department responded to reports that the suspect, identified as Calixto Benvenutti, 44 years of age, was firing a gun. When the patrol officers attempted to make contact, Benvenutti went inside his trailer. The officers set up a perimeter while an arrest warrant was issued, at which point SWAT arrived. Benvenutti ignored their commands to drop his weapon and exit the trailer; at one point, Benvenutti walked outside and actually fired his weapon into the ground, as recorded by the SWAT drone, before walking back inside. Hours later, Benvenutti exited the trailer, and picked up a large stick before moving toward a neighboring trailer. At this point, two SWAT officers approached Benvenutti. The suspect dropped the stick and drew a handgun from his waistband, at which point he was fired on by the two SWAT cops and a third, who fired from their armored vehicle. Benvenutti was arrested and given medical care on-scene, but was pronounced dead on-scene. No officers nor other persons were hurt.

Baltimore PD running and gunning

This compilation of bodycam footage shows Baltimore police officers attempting to interdict a suspect. He flees on foot before a brief exchange of gunfire and is killed. Viewer discretion is advised. Baltimore PD spotted the suspect, later identified as Jai Marc Howell, 26 years of age, on a moped. He was making conspicuous movements which suggested the the officers that he may have had a gun beneath his shirt. When they attempted to question him about it, Howell fled on foot with the pistol in his hand. It is at this point that bodycam footage begins in medias res. Howell runs down the sidewalk, gun in-hand, despite several warnings from Ofc. Foster that he will be shot. Foster keeps running, and as he passes a BPD cruiser, shots are fired. In the interest of honesty, it's hard -if not impossible- to tell from this footage, but Baltimore Police investigators believe that Howell turned and fired on the officers to his left. Howell is suspected of firing at least twice, as bullets from his weapon were found in the police cruiser, but the police fired a combined two dozen rounds back at him. Howell goes down as Foster closes in, calling "cease fire" to prevent an accidental blue-on-blue as he retrieves Howell's weapon- a handgun with an extended magazine. Although aid was provided on-scene and he was transported to an area hospital, Howell was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. No officers or bystanders were harmed.

Wounded cop wins Close-Range gunfight in California

Although dated 2023, this bodycam footage coming from Victorville, California, stands out as it records an intense, close range exchange of fire between an officer and suspect. Because the suspect is killed mere feet from the officer, viewer discretion is advised. The officer is shown responding to a call from the suspect's then-girlfriend. She reported that the suspect, Jorge Cardenas (27 years of age) had threatened her with a firearm, at which point she hid in the bathroom. In the video, we see a sheriff's deputy park his car behind Cardenas and attempt to detain him, at which point the suspect enters the store and draws his pistol upon crossing the threshold. The gunfight is on at that point, with both parties exchanging several rounds. The deputy is hit, taking rounds in the legs and the taser on his belt. At the 0:16 mark, he grabs cover and very calmly reports that he's been hit, and quickly reloads. Both of these tasks are difficult to do under the effects of adrenaline, but he manages the reload just in time as Cardenas exits the store to finish the fight. At the risk of armchair-quarterbacking, it's somewhat surprising that Cardenas didn't just put more rounds through the glass. In any event, as the suspect nears him, the officer dumps several rounds into Cardenas, who falls down. In the heat of the moment, the cop accidentally ejects his magazine- which would have cost him his life had Cardenas not gone down. The cop then reloads again and confirms the suspect is no longer a threat. We see Cardenas in what are effectively his death throes as bystanders are heard calling for and checking on one another. Backup arrives at the 01:45 mark. The deputy maintains his composure and reports that he's been hit. Backup arrests Cardenas and takes his pistol for safekeeping as other officers arrive to provide aid. The officer's wounds were non-life threatening, and Cardenas was pronounced dead on-scene.

Texas cop shoots armed suspect in wheelchair

This law enforcement bodycam and dashcam footage coming from Austin, Texas shows an officer in an encounter with a suspect who appears to be armed with a handgun. This situation is complicated, both tactically and ethically, by the fact that the fact that the suspect is in a wheelchair. Viewer discretion is advised. Responding to 911 calls regarding a wheelchair-bound man spotted in the roadway with a handgun, and further that he had pointed it at passers-by, Austin Police Department officers made contact with one Danny Palomino. Palomino wheeled away from the officers, ignoring their commands. As the officers followed, Palomino turned and pointed his weapon at one of them, whereupon the suspect was shot with an Agency-issued AR-15. Although aid was provided to Palomino and he was transported to an area hospital, he was later declared deceased. Furthermore, the weapon in his possession was revealed to be a BB-firing replica Glock. Prima facie, this is an ugly case, and that's partly why I chose it to discuss. "Cop shoots handicapped BB gun guy" is invariably going to get bandied about, but the logic in this situation is actually fairly clear. The officer had no way of knowing whether the weapon in question was real or not, and Palomino's being in a wheelchair has zero bearing on whether he could pull the trigger. It's unrealistic and unfair to expect an officer to act on more information than he has; and in this case the total is "the suspect is pointing a handgun at me." It may weigh on his conscience, or the court of public opinion might try to force it to, but the cop made the only choice he could in an awful situation.

Suspect taken out at In-N-Out

This compilation of dashcam and bodycam footage shows Elk Grove Police Officers in California responding to an armed and threatening person outside a local fast food restaurant. As the suspect flees, he briefly points a revolver at the officers, which escalates the incident to deadly force. While no one is ultimately killed, viewer discretion remains advised. According to the 911 call placed, the suspect (later identified as Jerry Tolliver, 50 years of age) was seen and overheard harassing juvenile restaurant patrons and acting strangely. The 911 caller also claimed to see the grip of a handgun protruding from Tolliver's pocket. In order to prevent Tolliver from entering the restaurant with his weapon, the officers pick their moment to separate him from the front door. Tolliver attempts to flee, and in so doing draws and points a snub-nosed .38 caliber revolver at the officers. Simultaneously, they fire and release a K9 to take down Tolliver. Unsurprisingly, the bullets get there before the K9. Tolliver is in serious condition but expected to survive. Upon release from the hospital he will be taken into police custody for one count each of assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, and felon possessing a firearm.

Suspect steals Cop's taser and gets shot

This compilation of police bodycam and dashcam footage comes in from Newport Beach, California. In the video, we see the ramifications of a motorcyclist's cascading poor decisions as the situation escalates from a simple traffic stop to lethal force. Viewer discretion is advised. A Newport Beach police officer observed Geoffrey Stirling, 43 years of age, as he ran a red light on his motorcycle. The officer pursued and pulled Stirling over, at which point Stirling became noncompliant. He refused several commands to sit down on the curb and instead closed distance with the officer. He then physically attacked the officer, and in the struggle struck him twice in the head before taking his TASER. The officer ordered Stirling to drop the TASER, but when Stirling refused to do so, he was shot several times. Backup arrived and provided medical aid until EMS could take over, but Stirling eventually died at an area hospital. A non-sworn police department employee who was on a ride-along witnessed the event from the police car. Prima facie, it may seem unfair for the cop to use lethal force on a suspect holding a less-than-lethal weapon. However, the legal view on this matter is that if the suspect were to use that TASER on the officer and incapacitate him, all of the tools the officer had, including his handgun and ammunition, would then become available to the suspect. The risk of the suspect hurting the cop, themselves, or others with captured police weaponry (or even vehicles), is considered not to be borne.

Suspect goes for Houston cop's gun

This harrowing footage shows the grim reality of a lethal force incident in Houston, Texas. The suspect grapples with an officer and discharges his duty weapon while trying to take it, prompting the officer's backup to shoot him. Viewer discretion is advised. The Houston police department responded to a reported burglary of a vehicle, which stated that the suspect could be armed with a knife or other sharp implement. The suspect evaded initial contact, resulting in a short foot chase. The video here picks up from Ofc. Avila as he arrives to see Ofc. Zhu wrestle the suspect to the ground. While entangled, the suspect grabs Ofc. Zhu's weapon and partially draws it, resulting in a gunshot at 0:12. As quickly as he can in a very tense situation, Avila tries to ensure as clear a shot as possible before shooting the suspect twice. The suspect is hit once in the body and once in the head. Gore spatters all over Ofc. Zhu. The suspect maintains their crouched position, but their last, snoring breath is audible. As the officers disentangle the suspect from Ofc. Scumbag Ex-Cop uses baby as human shield, gets dropped anyway

This dashcam footage shows a suspect using his two-year-old-daughter as a human shield while in a gunfight. This occurred in Franklin County, Indiana, two days before Christmas. Although the footage here has been sanitized, and the child did escape unscathed, the subject matter requires viewer discretion. Former Greenhills, Ohio cop Gregory Cameron Guilfoyle shot his wife in the head on the night of 23 December, 2022, picked up his daughter- at the time just 23 months old and only wearing a onesie- and left on foot. He was spotted walking with the girl in the incredibly hazardous weather (I pulled the weather report for that day and the high for that day was 1 degree Fahrenheit). When a Franklin County Deputy attempted to stop Guilfoyle, the suspect shot him while using his daughter as a human shield. Fortunately, the badass in question soaked it in his body armor and absolutely drilled him anyway, leaving the baby untouched and Guilfoyle to feel the Arctic air from the inside. It is difficult to hear her cries in such an awful situation, but they are like music compared to the frozen, quiet death she'd have suffered if this officer was not at the top of his game. I typically only name police officers in these videos if they've screwed up in a major way, or if they've gone above and beyond. Let me be perfectly clear: as far as I'm concerned, for his actions here, Franklin County Deputy Arin Bowers is a straight-up hero. Gregory Guilfoyle would survive being shot and received 100 years in prison for charges including two counts of attempted murder. Using PTSD from his time as a police officer in nearby Ohio as his defense did not appear to merit him much sympathy. He was sentenced on 12 May, 2025. Upon searching his home incident to the arrest shown here, Hannah Guilfoyle was found alive. She recovered after weeks in critical condition, but will continue to have medical complications. Unfortunately, the incident caused her to lose an unborn child.

The murdered victim was identified as Edgar Quinonez, 31, with whom the police have discovered no connection to Ortega. The 911 call recording records Ortega's gunshots. Once his weapon malfunctioned, he began pacing in the lobby of the fitness center, as shown in the security camera feed. He throws his car keys and wallet on the floor. From his lack of ability to assess and correct his rifle's condition, we can infer a lack of substantial training, and from throwing his identification and keys on the ground, a sense that he's aware of his fate. What follows thereafter is a compilation of several bodycam angles from the officers responding, including a slowed portion of the clip most clearly showing Ortega being taken down. He died at a nearby hospital. No other bystanders or officers were injured or killed.

Indiana cops rush and neutralize hostage taker

This juxtaposed bodycam footage shows two Indianapolis Metro police officers rushing an apartment to take down an active shooter turned hostage taker. Viewer discretion is advised. Multiple 911 calls came in regarding shots fired, stemming from a domestic dispute between the suspect, 45-year-old Elijah Radford and two victims, whom he knew. Responding officers found two women, one of whom suffered a gunshot wound while the other had received bites and other injuries. Witnesses reported that Radford had attempted to execute one of them, but fled when his weapon malfunctioned. Meanwhile, the officers shown here were chasing Radford. The suspect crashed his truck at an apartment complex and forced his way into one of the apartments, taking the resident hostage at knife-point. Wasting no time, the officers in pursuit entered the building, whereupon one of them dropped Radford before he could harm the hostage.

Idiot texts minor, threatens mom, gets shot

This footage from Jacksonville, Florida captures a recent incident wherein a suspect draws a firearm while running from the police, and gets shot for his trouble. Viewer discretion is advised. As is the case with these things, the devil is in the details. The suspect shown, 18-year-old Cerry Banks allegedly texted a 13-year-old girl, unaware that the girl's mother had intercepted the phone. Upon attempting to meet up with the girl, Banks instead found the mother, whom he allegedly threatened with a firearm in his waistband. It is at this point we catch up to the story. Pursuant to an aggravated assault call, Jacksonville PD's Officer Robinson makes contact with Banks, at which point Banks flees. During the ensuing chase, the suspect draws his handgun, at which point Robinson shoots him. Warning: During this sequence of events, Officer Robinson does some of the most disappointingly lame stuff I've ever covered, including onomatopoeic gunfire noises, managing to trip over a fence that's already down, and saying... ugh... "As you were" over the radio. The video then picks up from a second officer's perspective as he coaches Banks out of hiding in a nearby drainage ditch, managing to be professional, yet apathetic to the gunshot Banks brought upon himself. Although the suspect survives, he is charged with (2x) Lewd and Lascivious with a minor, (2x) Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, as well as Travelling to Meet a Minor and Unlawful Use of a Communication Device.

GWOT Vet-Refugee records gunfight with cops

This footage, coming from Fairfax County, Virginia, shows one of their officers making a traffic stop. The driver, who is armed, makes irate statements about the Taliban and serving in the GWOT alongside US Special Forces. He becomes increasingly agitated before the situation devolves into a gunfight, with the suspect apparently recording himself. Viewer discretion is advised. Jamal Wali, 36 years of age, is shown here being pulled over for having an expired inspection sticker. Upon making contact, Wali warns the officer that he is armed. He is seen ranting about supposedly serving with US Special Forces before being moved to the US with his family, and becoming increasingly irate. He makes furtive reaches for the weapon, but the officer keeps his cool and calls for backup. Wali pretends to acquiesce in the face of superior firepower, offering the officer his identification. Unfortunately, this is a ruse. As the officer leans in to take the card, Wali draws his pistol. Although the officer tries to grab it, Wali manages to get a single shot off before a malfunction occurs. Unfortunately, the shot passes through the contact officer's arm and into the arm of another officer behind him, before hitting a nearby car. A cover officer on the passenger side of the vehicle fires four times in response, striking Wali. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital, and the two wounded officers retrieved medical aid. They are expected to recover.

Florida man fights car with scissors

This bodycam/dashcam footage from Jacksonville, Florida shows a police officer's response to a suspect using scissors as a stabbing implement. While the incident is not explicitly graphic, due to the racially perjorative language used by the suspect, viewer discretion is advised. On 04 May 2025, a 911 call came in from the suspect's girlfriend. A week prior, Michael Wright, 40 years of age, had been detained and taken to the hospital for a possible narcotic overdose. In the interim, his girlfriend decided to remove her belongings from his home. Wright allegedly took aggressive exception to this. The 911 call was a request for protection. Jacksonville Police Ofc. Burke responded, and as he arrived, Wright jumped up to stab the hood of his cruiser with scissors clenched in his fist. Burke then tried to strike Wright with the bumper of his car, after which Wright punched the driver's window. Burke backed up and went for another bumper thump, succeeding on the second try. Wright went sprawling. Burke apparently tried to use Wright's position of disadvantage to get out of his cruiser, but Wright sprang up quickly. Wright dropped the scissors before charging Burke, but it would appear that in this rapid, high-adrenaline chain of events, the officer did not clearly see this. According to the report, the object shown in Wright's hand is actually his sunglasses. Wright was shot four times and later died at hospital, despite aid rendered on-scene. About The Author

Florida cops in gunfight with sex offender

This compilation of bodycam and dashboard camera footage shows DeSoto County Sheriff's Officers attempting to arrest a wanted sex offender. The situation escalates into a gunfight, wherein an officer is hit and the suspect is killed. Viewer discretion is advised. Law enforcement in Forsyth County, Georgia informed DeSoto County, Florida, to be on the lookout (BOLO) for Matthew Rollie, 30 years of age. He had an active warrant for enticing a child and failing to register as a sex offender. Accordingly, DeSoto Sherriff's Office located a vehicle suspected of being used by Rollie. Using the running of a stop sign as a pretext for stopping the vehicle, DeSoto Deputy Trujillo made contact with the driver and confirmed that Rollie was riding in the passenger side. As his partner Sgt. Nunez was checking Rollie's identification, Trujillo (on the driver's side) noticed Rollie reaching for a weapon (01:33), but not quickly enough to prevent the suspect from firing. He fired four times and Trujillo went down, returning fire. Despite being shot twice, Trujillo rather amazingly rolled right back up onto his feet. Sgt. Nunez fired on Rollie as he attempted to exit the vehicle on the passenger side. As he fell, Rollie continued to fire. At that point, Sgt. neutralized Rollie on the ground. Right at the 02:00 mark, we see the incident from Sgt. Nunez' perspective. 03:19 shows it from Trujillo's. From here, we can see the female driver of the car exited to the rear left of the vehicle, where she was out of the line of fire. Rollie was pronounced dead on-scene, whereas Trujillo was air-evacuated to an area hospital. He has since been discharged to recover at home. No other persons were harmed.

Florida cop wins gunfight against armored suspect

This compilation of bodycam and security camera footage captures a shootout between a Jacksonville, Florida Sheriff's Officer and a suspect. Viewer discretion is advised. On 12 March 2025, the suspect, Brandon White (33 years of age) refused to stop when interdicted by JSO Officer Goulding. White slowly continued to drive, passing safe places to stop in order to get to the location shown in the video. When White finally stopped, Goulding exited his vehicle to make contact. This is where the gunfight starts. In the almost immediate exchange of gunfire, Ofc. Goulding is hit in the foot. Despite this, he remains calm and transitions to cover, having run his weapon to lockback. His radio transmissions are clear and calm as he repositions and reloads- again, it bears mentioning that this is while having been shot. Using a fence to shoot in an almost textbook right-side barricade stance, at 0:28, Goulding takes follow-up shots at White, which are the ones that ultimately incapacitate the suspect. Ofc. Goulding then retreats, warning bystanders in the area to stay back. Humorously, the man has just been wounded in a gunfight but it's the rubberneckers that finally make him lose his cool at 01: 09. I think we can all relate. Goulding continues to look for the suspect until backup rescues him, not knowing that White is bleeding out in his car. Security camera footage from the house, cross-dubbed with the audio from Goulding's bodycam, gives us a frame of reference for what Goulding could not clearly see. Furthermore, it shows White in positive control of the long gun. White was transported to an area hospital but succumbed to his wounds, whereupon it was discovered that he was wearing body armor. Other than Ofc. Goulding's fantastic work and presence of mind under pressure, this video serves as a reminder that gear alone doesn't determine who wins. White had a premeditated plan, body armor and a rifle, and he still got outperformed by a cop with a sidearm. To paraphrase Voltaire, God is on the side of whoever shoots better.

Fleeing Florida bank robber gets shot

This dashcam and bodycam compilation, coming from Ocala, Florida, shows police officers in pursuit of a black pickup. Inside are three persons suspected of knocking over the local TD bank earlier in the day on 08 May 2025. The truck rolls over in the course of the chase, and one of the suspects emerges with a weapon-in hand. Failing to drop his weapon, he is shot by law enforcement. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect shown here, who attempts to flee on foot after the truck rolls, is identified as Randall Williford, 37 years of age. Along with Amanda Bishop, 34, and Andre Baker, 36, he robbed the TD Bank in Ocala of $6900. Bishop acted as the getaway driver, fleeing at nearly 90 miles per hour. When the truck flips as result of these excessive speeds, Bishop and Baker remain inside while Williford tries to run. In his escape, Williford trips and regains his feet while still holding his weapon. This slowdown allows the police to close distance with Williford and repeatedly demand he drop his weapon. Because he fails to do so, he is shot. However, the gunshot to his wrist is promptly treated with a tourniquet. Williford was transported to an area hospital, with a promising expectation of recovery. Williford was charged with armed robbery, possessing a firearm as a felon, aggravated assault on an officer, and tampering with evidence. The driver, Amanda Bishop, was charged with armed robbery and fleeing or eluding with disregard for safety. Andre Baker was charged with armed robbery.

Domestic call turns into deadly close-range shootout

This bodycam footage, provided by the police department in Cyrus, Minnesota, shows a domestic disturbance call that rapidly, and tragically, becomes a gunfight at across-the-table range. Both the suspect and one of the responding officers are killed in this video, which necessitates viewer discretion. 34-year-old Bill Nygard is shown seated at the table. Upon being informed that he will be arrested, Nygard stands at 0:37 and produces a handgun, firing at the two officers in the room. They return fire, killing Nygard, but the officer from whose perspective we first see these events will, shortly afterward, die of his injuries at an area hospital. Deputy Josh Owen, a 14-year veteran, met his EOW on his 44th birthday. At 0:50, we see the point of view of the other officer in the room, who also fires on Nygard. He was struck in his vest by a round from Nygard. Afterward, we see the third officer on the scene, who was posted in the hallway and did not fire, although he was shot in the ankle. Both were treated and promptly released from hospital.

Deputy and suspect fight for four minutes over weapon

This footage, coming in from Corona CA, shows a Sheriff's Deputy fighting for control of his handgun- and thereby, his life- against two suspects, one of whom repeatedly encourages the other to kill him. The fight lasts for around four minutes, which is a lot longer than it sounds when struggling hand-to-hand. One of the suspects is shot and killed, and therefore viewer discretion is advised. The Deputy encountered two persons acting strangely, and when he approached to inquire, the pair fled, doubling back and engaging him as shown in the security footage in the opening seconds of this video. As they struggle, 32-year-old Eric Nourani repeatedly coaches 30-year-old Jennifer Dobbins, telling her to hold, and later, attempt to kill him. She rebukes the Deputy in the name of Jesus and kicks at him as her accomplice continues to wrestle for control of the weapon. Interestingly, at 02:38, the Deputy states "I'm going black"- presumably as an indicator that he's running out of strength/oxygen and options, for when the footage is reviewed later. At 02:45, he shoots Dobbins with a single round. Despite this, Nourani continues to struggle with the Deputy, urging the fading Dobbins to get in the fight until help arrives for the Deputy. Despite medical aid provided on-scene, Dobbins was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Nourani was charged with murder, attempted murder of a LEO, mayhem, and resisting with violence.

Cop gets her gun and car stolen

This compilation of bodycam footage from Fountain Valley, California, shows a police officer attempting to detain a suspect. Unfortunately, he manages to steal her gun and police cruiser. Ultimately, he is shot and killed by her partner. Viewer discretion is advised. Fountain Valley PD responded to a call concerning a man who attempted to open a driver's door as she was leaving a nearby middle school. The caller reported that the suspect was generally behaving in a disturbed manner. An officer made contact with the suspect, who was later identified as Osean McLintock, 26 years of age. He asked McLintock to be seated, but the suspect refused and ran away while making Biblical references. He outpaced the officer, at which point his partner made contact some distance away. A short time later (02:18), the officer heard screaming and ran to help, finding Mclintock in possession of his partner's pistol. Mclintock ignored repeated commands to drop the weapon and tried to comandeer the female officer's cruiser, at which point the contact officer opened fire, striking McLintock (02:55). Despite aid rendered, the suspect was declared deceased on-scene. At 03:22, we see the footage from the female officer's perspective. Due to the audio buffering, their initial exchange is inaudible, but for some reason she exited the vehicle with her handgun drawn- a confusing decision, given that McLintock had no weapon or lethal capability. However, despite pressing it into his own abdomen and giving her plenty of opportunities to shoot him, she did not, resulting in his taking her weapon. She fell to the ground and begged for her life as the suspect repeatedly referenced her salvation. The female officer fled and hid behind a mail truck while her partner, the contact officer, confronted and ultimately neutralized McLintock.

California murder suspect shot at newport beach pier

This compilation of air wing and juxtaposed bodycam footage shows police from Santa Ana, California attempting to apprehend and ultimately shooting a murder suspect on a fishing pier in nearby Newport Beach. Viewer discretion is advised. The suspect, one Jose Velasquez, 45, is wanted as the primary suspect in the murder of a 38 year old woman. He had fled the scene earlier in the day, and the Santa Ana police had caught up with him, resulting in a vehicle chase. From a circling police helicopter, we see the termination of the chase play out on a fishing pier in Newport Beach. With nowhere left to run, Velasquez steps out of his car, pistol in hand. At this point he is simultaneously taken under fire by two officers and downed. He was later pronounced dead on-scene, with no other persons injured. Army veteran gunned down by Florida deputies

Warning: This compilation of footage, provided by Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Office shows a US military veteran being shot and killed by police. While not especially graphic in nature, this subject matter hits close to home, and viewer discretion is advised. On 23 April 2025, at approximately 0725 local time in Brandon, Florida, deputies from the Sheriff's Office responded to reports regarding a man dressed in fatigues, a plate carrier and carrying a rifle. The area was a busy intersection, near both a school and large storefronts. They located the suspect, one Vincent Tyler Morin, and told him repeatedly to drop the rifle. He did not comply. At 0738, as shown in this compilation of bodycam and aerial unit footage, three deputies opened fire and struck Morin multiple times. Although first aid was rendered on-scene, Morin died at an area hospital. The subject, Vincent Tyler Morin, was a US Army vet, discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant after tours as an infantryman in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Friends report that Morin struggled with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and his behavior and equipment shown here conform with his deployment experience. Although records show that Morin was arrested twice before this incident, the arrests were for trespassing and marijuana possession. Neither are considered violent offenses. Whether he was in the midst of a mental health crisis or trying to make some type of statement will now never be truly known. This is a very controversial shoot, to say the least. While open carry of a weapon is not currently legal in Florida outside of certain prescribed activities, such as hunting or fishing, it's important to note that at no point did Morin actually raise or brandish the rifle. Furthermore, no attempts to communicate or de-escalate with Morin were made. The aerial unit makes a reference to "less lethal" but there is no indication that such force was used. So what happened here? Context is important. As of the time of this incident, it had been less than a week since a multi-suspect active shooter incident in Tallahassee, Florida. But with the caveat that I don't know them personally, I think this has more to do with the deputies who responded. One was a Lieutenant with the agency, with 35 years on the job. The other two were rookies by comparison, with just over a year for one and six months for the other. Therefore, what we possibly have here is a man who doesn't want 35 years of service capped off by losing a gunfight before 8 AM on a Wednesday, and two others who are so new to what they're doing they still see it as a black-and-white Academy exercise. I've seen this much before; trainees who think that because a rifle is in play in the scenario, they have to go lethal. Also, neither video nor reports released at this time make it clear who fired first, but incidents of sympathetic fire among police officers are well-known and documented. Even if the lieutenant was not the first one to shoot, it's not without the realm of possibility that they were reacting to each other and not Morin's actions (or lack thereof). These are just theories, and I am admittedly not without my biases. However, I think it's fairly objective to say that Morin was a veteran who needed help, and deserved a fairer chance to get it than this. The biggest takeaway is to check on your people, and do it often. There's no harm or dishonor in giving or needing help dealing with PTSD, but it's nothing but a shame for a life to end like this, for nothing. Armed suspect fires at cops, SWAT sniper intervenes

This compilation of bodycam, vehicle and drone camera footage, provided by the Police Department of Farmington Hills, Michigan, shows their officers taking fire from an armed suspect. While the officers are pinned down by the suspect's rifle fire, a SWAT sniper neutralizes the threat. Viewer discretion is advised. The officers were responding to a domestic incident wherein the suspect, 32-year-old Dejuan Evans, allegedly assaulted a victim and threatened her life in front of her children. Although she fled and called the police, the kids were still inside the home when police arrived. As the video shows, the police make initial contact with Evans, who refuses to show his hands before firing at the cops with what appears to be an AK-pattern rifle. As the officers retreat, Evans fires at the cruisers and the officers using them for cover. The police audibly worry about the safety of the children, not knowing that they escape during the time Evans is firing at the cars. It's worth mentioning that it could have easily gone down with a far more horrible outcome. In any event, we see a drone's-eye view of Evans firing from his front door before he gets dropped by a SWAT sniper. He is currently under guard at a medical facility, charged with three counts of assault with intent to murder, one count of firearm possession while prohibited, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, six counts of felony with a firearm, and domestic violence.

Armed suicide risk has weapon shot from hand

This unedited bodycam footage from Louisville, Kentucky shows Louisville Metro PD officers responding to an extremely volatile situation. They confront a potential suicide risk, seen holding a gun to his own head. Although all parties survive the incident, due to the distressful subject matter, viewer discretion is advised. LMPD responded to a report that Daniel Gish, 55, had fired a gun into the floor. The report was furnished by Gish's daughter. When the officers arrived, they found Gish in his front yard with a pistol held to his own head. Despite attempts to de-escalate the situation and negotiate with Gish, including an officer's straightfoward plea ("I don't want you to do this, man"), the subject remained distraught. At that point, the officers pulled back and tried to establish a perimeter. At the 05:30 mark in the footage, LMPD Sergeant Kristopher Pedigo made entry to ensure everyone was out of the house. He encountered Gish and gave him one verbal command to drop the gun. When Gish did not comply, Pedigo fired one round into the subject's wrist, knocking the gun from his hand. Because it went flying, there was some initial panic as the officers sought to locate the handgun while providing medical aid to Gish. All the while, Gish stated that he wanted to die. He was transported to an area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Pursuant to agency Use of Force policy, Sgt. Pedigo was placed on administrative leave while this incident was legally and administratively reviewed. It's unclear whether Pedigo intended to shoot him in the wrist, although he does verbalize shooting the weapon out of Gish's hand. The big takeaway, of course, is that everyone survived the night thanks to Pedigo's actions.

A Gunfight's afoot at the circle K

Coming from Maricopa, Arizona, this collection of body-worn camera footage covers a recent Officer Involved Shooting at a local Circle K convenience store. Viewer discretion is advised. Maricopa police attempt to interdict and apprehend Keith Prock, 38, on several outstanding warrants. However, as one of the officers close in on Prock, he turns and shoots the officer, who goes down. A second officer pursues and drops Prock with his handgun. His perspective begins at 0:27. After his partner goes down, the second officer exchanges most of a magazine with Prock, who goes down at 0:43, and is nearly hit by a fleeing vehicle. Somewhat incredibly, a screaming woman decides that the appropriate tactical and logical decision is to get closer to the high-stress situation with guns in it. She is roundly corrected by the police officer before he doubles back to check on his downed buddy. Thankfully, another officer is already there, rendering aid- although frankly I'd like to see a little more urgency with the TQ. If it's needed, it's needed quickly. We then see the incident slowed down, presumably for the benefit of court proceedings. Although Prock was killed on-scene, the shot officer is currently in stable condition at an area hospital. No other persons were harmed.
