Iraqi aviation bombs ISIS
Footage released by the Iraqi Ministry of Defense that was recorded by members of the Iraqi Aviation Unit in 2016 shows an attack against Islamic State positions located in the Nineveh province. It's hard to be sure from this angle, but it appears as if they are using unguided bombs dropped from a Soviet-era MI-8 medium utility transport helicopter.
11 views / TodayIED attack in Natmauk Township
Footage released by the local PDF group conducting guerilla operations near Natmauk Township in the Magway region of Myanmar shows an improvised explosive attack that was targeting a military convoy. Unfortunately, it appears as if the IED was prematurely detonated causing the explosion to hit absolutely nothing.
12 views / TodayMalian militia engage aircraft
A Malian militiaman engages an unidentified aircraft from the back of a Toyota pickup truck. The date is unknown though the video was posted this month.
9 views / TodayMyanmar junta fires up rebels with motorcycle-mounted gun
This footage, provided from the perspective of the Myanmar/Burmese military junta, shows their troops using a motorcycle-mounted machine gun to fire at Arakan Army insurgents in the field downrange in Rakhine. While technicals and vehicle-mounted machine guns are pervasive in almost every conflict presently engaged, there's something anachronistic and unique about the bike-and-sidecar configuration here. It appears that the driver is also the gunner, while a sidecar rider to the left functions as an assistant to manage the ammo. Therefore, it seems fairly obvious that it's not meant to be fired while in motion. That would admittedly be pretty cool to see, however.
7 views / TodayPakistani Frontier Corps repels Taliban assault
This footage, provided by the Pakistani Frontier Corps (FC), shows an attempted attack by Taliban forces (TTP) on their elevated position. The Frontier Corps is a group of four paramilitary units that provide security and law enforcement in the tri-border region between Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan.
8 views / TodaySagaing PDF group tests baby hell cannon
Footage recorded by a small PDF group in the Budalin Township of the Sagaing Region in Myanmar shows a test fire operation with a homemade cannon system. According to the source of the footage, the test fire was conducted against a military position in the area, but it's unclear how effective the attack was.
10 views / TodayCluster of RSF troops catch drone dropped grenade
Drone footage coming out of Sudan that was released by members of the Al-Bara' ibn Malik Battalion shows a drone dropped munition attack against a cluster of RSF fighters. The battalion that released the footage, also known as El-Baraa Ibn Malik or Abaraa Iban Malik, is an Islamist Militia group operating within the Sudanese Popular Resistance movement, and is linked to the Sudanese military indirectly.
6 views / TodayIndonesian troops infiltrate through Papua jungle
This video shows Indonesian soldiers moving on a Papuan rebel dwelling in 2024. While not footage of combat in and of itself, this footage is important because it is a rare glimpse into a conflict not often discussed or filmed in modern times, although it's been going on since the 1960s. After the Dutch relinquished colonial control, Indonesia took over governance of an approximate half of Papua New Guinea. Local Papuan resistance has been ongoing since that time, although Indonesia typically keeps tight control of outgoing information regarding the conflict.
11 views / TodayHouthi trucks get wiped out by Saudi airstrike
Aerial footage released by the Saudi government in 2019 shows an airstrike against a pair of Houthi pickup trucks. It appears that the two trucks are cross-loading weapons and ammunition at the time of the airstrike.
9 views / TodaySudanese forces rocket RSF positions
Footage recorded by a member of the Sudanese military shows a rocket barrage attack against RSF positions located somewhere in Sudan. No further context was released with this footage, so it's unclear exactly when it was filmed, or where it occurred.
9 views / TodaySouth African mortar team engages M23 rebels
Cell phone footage circulating on Facebook today shows a group of South African troops engaging M23 rebels with a man-portable mortar system being used in handheld mode. According to the source of the footage, the M23 rebels were supported by conventional Rwandan forces; however, this video provides no evidence of that statement.
5 views / TodayHouthi cameraman gets dropped by Yemeni militia
This compilation represents found footage recovered from a Houthi cameraman by the "Southern Giants Brigades", a pro-government, Yemeni militia. Although there is no explicitly NSFW imagery, the sound of the cameraman screaming as he bleeds out may bear some viewer's discretion.
12 views / TodayAl-Jighaifa tribesmen back at it in 2025
This footage shows machine gunners from Iraq's Al-Jighaifa tribe (also rendered as "Jughaifa" or "Jighayfa" depending on the source). In a sterling example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," these tribesmen are shown continuing their 15+ year tradition of using Toyota trucks and automatic weapons to interdict ISIS in the desert. In this case, one of the Hilux trucks is so new it still has dealership stickers on the windows. This is one hell of a test drive. The broad, flat expanse of the desert makes perfect ground for accuracy by volume, and resulted in 3 ISIS KIA, one of which is briefly visible.
12 views / TodayKachin Independence Army fires captured howitzer
This quick clip shows the Kachin Independence Army (with the unfortunate acronym of KIA) firing a captured howitzer which formerly belonged to the Myanmar military junta. It is unclear whether this is a test or if they have a distant target. Despite jokes about the abbreviated form of their name, the KIA is one of the most historically effective anti-junta factions in the war, and in addition to combat efficacy, they now manage production of in-house versions of many of the small arms used in the conflict.
5 views / TodayUnsung Iraqi hero infiltrates ISIS
This footage shows an Iraqi Intelligence agent and largely unknown hero in action. Captain Harith Al-Sudani saved innumerable lives in the Iraq War and foiled ISIS operations time after time. This is just a snapshot of a chapter of a story that deserves to be more widely known.
17 views / TodayKurdish ambulance has close call with death
Dashcam footage recorded by a Kurdish ambulance in either Northern Iraq or Syria that was filmed on January 12, 2025, captures a near miss with what is allegedly a Turkish airstrike. For several frames between :24 and :25 seconds you can actually see the round traveling along its path to the Earth. Had these dude's been driving just a few MPH faster, they would had the insides of their ambulance all over the outside.
12 views / TodaySecond view of Syrian Army truck being double-teamed
About a month ago, a short video was published to the site showing the perspective of an HTS fighter armed with an AK-47 shooting into a pickup truck that was being driven by a Syrian Arab Army officer in the city of Aleppo. Towards the end of that brief clip, and RPG can be seen impacting with the truck, stopping it. This footage shows a second angle of that same incident, recorded from the perspective of the RPG shooter. I have combined both clips of the ambush into one video above.
11 views / TodayIraqi Army attacks ISIS tunnel near Mosul
The burning tire was placed at one of the entry points in an attempt to smoke the Islamic State fighters out at another location that was covered by an adjacent unit. The overhead fire technique that the Iraqi Soldier is using to suppress the tunnel entrance is something that must have been taught to them by Army Reservists during our earlier occupation of the country.
