Trapped Russian soldier gives drone the finger
This footage, shot by an observing Ukrainian drone, shows a Russian soldier who has become entangled in concertina wire. Another, explosive-laden Ukrainian drone hovers nearby, allowing the operator to observe and giving the Russian a chance to surrender. The Russian, however, is notably disinclined, and as he struggles against the concertina, he gives the drone, and thereby the operator, the middle finger. Not once, but twice. That's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for him. Here's a hint: Viewer discretion is advised.
12 views / TodayFreeze tag defense fails Russian
Drone footage shows a Russian soldier hunkering down next to a destroyed vehicle. We are not sure how he got in that predicament, but it was likely due to a previous drone strike on his vehicle, and he is also probably wounded. As the drone circles the area, the Russian seizes and kind of motion. As often seen in previous videos, it appears they are under the impression that some of the drone can only detect movement. That assumption is obviously incorrect, and it only makes it easier for the pilot to land a definitive kill shot on his target.
8 views / TodaySignum drone Unit hits infantry
A compilation of FPV drone attacks released by the Ukrainian Signum Drone Unit shows exposed Russian infantry being dominated by flying explosives. I hope videos like this are being played on repeat by certain institutions in the United States that are attempting to develop counter-measures for drones.
6 views / TodayMech assault on Russian trench
Ukraine’s 3rd Assault brigade assaults a Russian trench. They advance on their objective in armored personnel carriers before dismounting to clear the enemy position. Drones work over the trench before the assault begins, dropping munitions on defenders. The infantry then work their way through the trench, eliminating opposition the old fashioned way, with rifles and grenades, clambering past dead and dying Russians laying in the muck.
16 views / TodayExhausted infantryman gives up
Reconnaissance and FPV drone footage released by the Ukrainian Birds of Madyar drone unit shows an FPV attack against a lone Russian infantryman walking through a field. As the drone approaches his route, the Russian appears to attempt ignore the device in the hopes that it will leave him alone. When it becomes clear that the pilot intends to attack, the man simply lays on the ground and attempts to place his pack between his body and the explosives.
13 views / TodayRussian executes Ukrainian POWs
Brutal drone footage circulating on social media for the past few days allegedly shows a Russian soldier executing multiple surrendered Ukrainians who are unarmed and laying in the prone position. The Ukrainian troops can be seen laying on the ground, shoulder to shoulder, with their hands behind their head. This is a classic POW position that enables the captor to search the captured troops in a safe manner with complete control. Instead of searching the troops however, the Russian starts shooting them in the back of the head, one at a time. On the pro-Russian side of the aisle, there have been some who say that this is not a Russian soldier, but that it's instead a Ukrainian soldier executing Russian troops. The quality from the recording drone combined with the altitude of the device makes it difficult to positively identify the uniforms of either the executioner or the executed troops. What is clear however is that once footage like this starts to circulate, it starts to become more widespread. Just two days ago, my co-writer Will published a video showing a Ukrainian executing a Russian soldier on his knees. Now, this video is circulating claiming to show a Russian soldier executing Ukrainian POWs. These videos both represent clear evidence of war crimes being committed, but the problem here runs deep. When you're in the middle of the most brutal war in this century, a prison sentence likely doesn't seem all that bad.
9 views / TodayUkrainian enters the wrong trench
GoPro footage being played on a computer and recorded by a cell phone captures the moment a Ukrainian soldier entered a defensive position that was occupied by an assaulting Russian force. Before the Russian opens fire, he appears to try and get the Ukrainian to drop his rifle. The Ukrainian reacts instinctively by putting his second hand on the rifle, which prompts the Russian to kill him. The unfortunate thing about this video is the Ukrainian was likely on auto-pilot moving between positions. When he noticed the Russians, he probably thought that they were part of his own unit. What we're looking at here is a real-time example of how the fog of war impacts troops on the battlefield.
20 views / TodayRussian gets stuck in a swamp
Reconnaissance and FPV drone footage released by Ukrainian sources shows a Russian soldier getting stuck while maneuvering through swampy terrain. Once completely bogged down by the chest deep water and his equipment, the Ukrainian dispatch an FPV drone to eliminate him.
10 views / TodayRussians ambush Ukrainian saboteurs
In what appears to be a likely staged video, official Russian media outlets are claiming they neutralized Ukrainian saboteurs as they attempted to destroy rail bridges in Russia's Altai Republic. The footage begins with thermal video, conveniently recorded from an angle that doesn't show the target. The riflemen can't decide what stance they're going to fire from at first, but soon choose kneeling, even though the target is only a few feet away. A meaningless hand touch is added for tactical production value. The aftermath assessment footage really drives the faked impression home as the saboteurs lie dead in snow and ice without a single drop of blood present. One of them still has his finger in the trigger guard of his rifle (facepalm). To make matters even cornier, the supposed Ukrainians are armed and one is wearing military fatigues. If you look at a map as to where this supposed incident took place, it is over 3,000 miles deep into Russia, where wearing combatant uniforms and bearing arms would be a dead giveaway. They never would have gotten this far. For saboteurs to be successful in this area, they would need to blend into the local population. This video appears to be a government-staged propaganda stunt to show the Russian people that something is being done about the Ukrainian saboteurs operating with impunity in Russia. Yet, I wasn't there, and cannot truly confirm. So, it is possible that this incident really did play out like a low-budget B-movie script.
11 views / TodaySOF raid in Pokrovsk
GoPro footage released by a Ukrainian Special Operations team with the 3rd SOF Regiment captures a raid on Russian positions located near Pokrovsk. The footage starts with the group infiltrating through some light obstacles with bolt cutters, and then directly engaging and killing several Russian troops. There's a brief interlude where the group takes a wounded Russian soldier as a POW, and that sequence is followed by the group exfiltrating from the Russian position.
10 views / TodayUkrainian SOF crushes Russian VDV in CQB
First published on 24 November, 2025, this helmetcam footage shows a Ukrainian SOF element taking on Russian-held houses in Zaporizhzhia. Coming from a law enforcement background, and therefore decidedly different goals in room clearing, it's interesting to see how often doctrine in Ukraine allows for just throwing a frag into anything one is unsure about. The Ukrainians follow up by hosing down the rooms with small arms fire before searching the dead. Flags and patches are quickly identified, showing that the Russian soldiers were VDV, or airborne Spetsnaz troops. While they are pixelated and their deaths are not shown outright, Russian KIA are shown, and thus, viewer discretion is advised.
29 views / TodayAmbush on Russian recon Unit
GoPro and drone footage released by a Ukrainian special operations team shows an ambush against a Russian reconnaissance unit in the Pokrovsk region. According to the source, at least four Russians were killed in the ambush, with the special operations team recovering sensitive equipment from the dead Russians. If the what the source says about the ambush is accurate, drones were utilized to detect the Russian reconnaissance team as they infiltrated behind Ukrainian lines. This caused the SOF unit to be dispatched to set up an ambush along the suspected route that the Russians were taking.
13 views / TodayHumvee and crew hammered by VOG grenades
Infrared drone footage released by Russian sources shows a series of drone dropped grenade attacks against Ukrainian forces. It's unclear exactly when and where this footage was filmed, and no further context was released with the footage. What we know is that the Ukrainian troops are utilizing what appears to be a humvee. For some reason, they're stopped with the doors propped open when the grenades start falling on them. It's unclear why, but the crew abandons their armored vehicle to take cover under some trees and bushes before the drone switches from targeting the vehicle to directly attacking them with additional drone-dropped VOGs.
6 views / TodayUkrainian paratrooper drops Russian in Sumy
This quick clip shows a Russian soldier being shot by a Ukrainian marksman- reportedly, a paratrooper from the 80th Air Assault Brigade. This is reported to have occurred in Sumy, and was first published on 30 November, 2025. Because the Ukrainian's thermal optic shows the kill in a magnified fashion, viewer discretion is advised.
8 views / TodayStruggling Ukrainian killed by VOG grenade
Drone footage released by Russian sources captures the tragic moment a Ukrainian soldier climbs out a frigid area flooded with water directly into a drone dropped grenade attack. No further context was released with this footage by the Russian sources who released it. Imagine walking headlong into a flooded area, struggling to swim out of the water with all of your gear on, and then having a drone dropped grenade dropped right on top of you just as you start to clear the water. The Russo-Ukraine war is a total exercise in maximizing infantry suck.
9 views / TodayUkrainian SOF troops hit Russian positions
GoPro and Infrared footage released by a Ukrainian special operations unit shows a raid that occurred during the summer of 2025. A lot of this footage, especially the infrared footage recorded on their optics, looks familiar to me but I can't exactly pinpoint if we've archived the footage or not at this stage. It's unclear where the video was recorded, as the location was listed as "unidentified" by the original source.
14 views / TodayDevastating blows to Russian Forces
Ukraine's 93rd Mechanized Brigade released an absolutely brutal strike reel, highlighting operations against Russian forces in the month of November 2025. The strikes are primarily FPV kamikaze drone hits against infantry, but there are also multiple instances of observation drones, fortifications, and vehicles being struck. The 93rd also makes use of drone dropped munitions from quadcopter hover type drones.
10 views / TodayRussian motorcycle assault meets Ukrainian ambush
This footage, provided by overhead Ukrainian drones, shows a Russian assault team on motorcycles. They are en route to the Ukrainian lines in Lyman. Unfortunately for them, it appears that the same fog that had kept them from being detected also obscures the soldiers from Ukraine's 66th Brigade, who quickly start knocking down bikers with gunfire. Once slowed to a stop, the bikers become easy prey for drone-dropped mortar rounds. Because the bodies of the Russians are visible and in-focus, viewer discretion is advised.
