Police ambushed twice, army vet intervenes
This compilation of bodycam and dashcam footage covers a homicide suspect springing two different ambushes on police in Pueblo, Colorado. After the suspect opens fire on the officers with an assault rifle and makes his escape, a retired but ready Army veteran uses a CLS bag to patch up a wounded officer. Later on, the Pueblo police confront and shoot the suspect. Viewer discretion is advised. Billy Soto was wanted by the FBI in regard to an attempted murder. Police in Pueblo, Colorado attempted to contact and arrest Soto, but as the officer stopped his car, Soto opened fire with an AR-pattern rifle before running away. Despite firing several rounds, only one officer was hit, and only once. As fate would have it, a bystander happened to be a retired soldier, and he happened to have a Combat Life Saver bag on him. Luck favors the prepared. While the stricken officer was treated and evacuated, a perimeter was established and a search began for Soto. An approximate half hour after the first encounter, he opened fire again, striking two more officers. Amid a fourth exchange of gunfire, Soto was struck. Despite medical aid rendered, Billy Soto was declared deceased on-scene. All three injured officers were treated for their injuries and released from hospital care the same day. No other persons were injured.
