Russian steps on an AP mine
GoPro footage released by Russian sources captures the moment a Russian soldier steps on an anti-personnel mine while on patrol in Ukraine. The truly unfortunate thing about this footage is that it's just as likely that the Russians emplaced this mine as it is that the Ukrainians put it there. Both sides operate off of the same indiscriminate Soviet landmine warfare doctrine, which adds one more constant element of unpredictable danger to the Russo-Ukraine war for all of the infantry troops on the ground.

Prior to the ambush, the two Russians were convinced by the Ukrainian that he was one of them. This is likely because there are a lot of Russian citizens that speak with a Ukrainian accent, and it also proves that Russian troops aren't using any sort of challenge and pass system. Friend and foe identification is a big deal, and not having a system in place for it allows for things like this to happen to your troops.

As was the case the last several dozen times this technique was attempted, it fails miserably resulting in the Russian being killed by a direct hit from the FPV drone he was trying to evade. This footage was captured by the 81st Airmobile Brigade, and it was recorded near the Ukrainian village of Bilohorivka.

This footage, from Ukraine's 11th Army Corps, shows a Russian mechanized assault team of three APCS and approximately 20 dismounts being pummeled by FPV and munition-dropping drones in Siversk. Both the observation drones and some of the attackers have thermal optics, so darkness is no sanctuary for the Russians, who are otherwise out in the open and easy targets. It would appear that while the other, apparently standard Russian tactic of using scooters doesn't work, more traditional methods need some workshopping, too. Because the KIA are easily seen where they lay, viewer discretion is advised.

The recording Russian troops conduct secondary and tertiary clearings of the fighting position by spraying their service rifles into the dead troops inside of the fighting hole, and then pull out as much equipment and gear as possible to conduct sensitive site exploitation.The fireteam appears to be topping off their own equipment from the dead Ukrainians, while simultaneously searching for any intelligence that might be present in the fighting position. On top of taking critical equipment like fragmentation grenades and medical gear, the team is likely looking for annotated military maps or electronics that can later be exploited to find out more information about Ukrainian troop movements and strength in the area.

Confusing footage from Kherson that was released by Russian sources shows a drone dropped grenade attack against a man who appears to be working on his roof. Towards the end of the footage, a second man can be seen trying to retrieve the wounded man from the roof, and he is also wearing what appears to be civilian clothing.According to Russian sources, the men were looters and the drone operators dropped munitions to thwart some kind of crime that was going on, but at face value it appears as if they just randomly decided to drop a grenade on top of a guy working on his roof. At this stage, it's impossible to tell the truth of what happened. At some point in the distant future, there may be an update to this, but as it stands right now there just isn't enough context to put this one together.

The Russian Army is applying relentless pressure to Ukrainian lines, and have adopted an operational approach of reducing strong pointed settlements by capturing the outlying villages and eventually severing lines of communication and supply, which force the Ukrainian defenders to withdraw. Russian attacks, however, are performed by poorly trained, poorly equipped units and result in high casualties, and Russian commanders either have no reserves, or insufficient reserves to exploit success. Another instance of Russian troops walking around out in the open in broad daylight with thermal cloaks shows that Russian leadership is either not learning their lesson, or they simply don't care about the lives of their troops. Thermal cloaks don't work when the reconnaissance drones are capable of toggling between normal and IR modes. They especially don't work when your troops are maneuvering out in the open during daylight hours with zero top-cover to conceal themselves.
