Ukrainian survives fragmentation to the head
Cell phone footage published by a Ukrainian soldier captures the moment an explosion sends fragmentation into his head. From this video alone, the scope of the injury is unknown, but the man manages to escape the scene still conscious while using his radio to call for help. Head injuries always look the worst, as the scalp and skin around the skull are full of major blood vessels that struggle to constrict when opened up.
35 views / TodayUkrainian drones wreak havoc in Chasiv Yar ruins
This footage, recorded by an observing drone, shows other Ukrainian FPV (first-person view) explosive drones being used to swoop in and attack Russian infantry. While these ruins in Chasiv Yar could ostensibly provide cover in a conventional context, here, the Russian troops appear to be slowed down into easy targets as they attempt to traverse them. The walls and overhangs offer scant difficulty to the drone operators, who simply have to get close before detonating. Because the aftermath and bodies are shown, viewer discretion is advised.
14 views / TodayRussian double tapped by drones
Drone footage released by Ukrainian sources shows a drone dropped munition attack against a Russian soldier. A follow up FPV drone attack is conducted against the wounded Russian almost immediately after the drone dropped grenade puts him on his back.No further context was released with this footage, so it's unclear when and where it was filmed.
25 views / TodayThree Ukrainians get baited into ambush
This video shows a Russian soldier attacking a Ukrainian-held building, reportedly in Novohryhorivka, Dnipropetrovsk. He pushes his hands through the blinds in a window, dropping a grenade inside. After the explosion, he backs off to the top of frame. Three Ukrainians come out, probably in a mixture of not wanting to be cornered and feeling a numerical advantage. It is unclear whether they are attempting to pursue the Russian or merely picked the worst way to run. They make the mistake of not covering each other despite a waiting Russian being overwhelmingly likely, and pay for the mistake. Viewer discretion is advised. One Ukrainian is wounded outright as the Russian opens fire to their left. The other two go prone- one having the wherewithal to retrieve his helmet- but are picked off before a Russian drone confirms the kills with a dropped mortar round. Although the initial disclosure of this video claimed two more Ukrainians were killed in the house, this video in and of itself offers no proof.
75 views / TodaySingle drone eliminates four soldiers
Several Russian soldiers on patrol sense danger and opt to huddle together. A Ukrainian FPV drone bores in on their position and detonates, killing all four men. Two more drones add to the carnage, further mixing the meat pile. Better dispersion might have allowed at least one of those men to survive.
36 views / TodaySnipers put Ukrainian-Built thermal optics to work
This footage is a compilation of hits by a pair of snipers in Ukraine's extremely vaguely-named "Company Group Team." Operating in the Sumy area, the pair manages to neutralize three Russian soldiers during the night, using Ukrainian-built thermal optics. Two different thermal views are juxtaposed, allowing the bullets to be seen as they travel to their targets, who then slump to the ground. Viewer discretion is advised.
50 views / TodaySOF team ambushes Russian infantry
Russian infantry are gunned down by Ukrainian special forces in what appears to be a hasty ambush or even a meeting engagement. The action takes place in an overgrown garden on the outskirts of Kupiansk. According to sources, the Russian Army no longer possesses the ability to engage in combined arms operations. Anyone who might have known how to plan or conduct such operations is long dead, and the equipment designed for such operations is destroyed. The Russians have resorted to an attrition strategy and infiltration tactics. The Ukrainian Army is also hampered by manpower and materiel shortages and is struggling to incorporate western combined arms doctrine while engaged in an existential fight. Their front is no longer linear and continuous, and they have adopted a strong point defense. The Russians are attempting to exploit this with the only resources that they have – cheap vehicles and disposable people. In a classic turning movement, they cram conscripts into the gaps between Ukrainian strongpoints, a costly proposal, but once enough Russians infiltrate to the rear of a Ukrainian unit, that unit is eventually forced to displace. These choices, based on each belligerents' limitations, explain Russia’s recent territorial gains, earned at a considerable cost. Will the Russians be able to generate the manpower to sustain such an approach? Will the Ukrainians be able to generate sufficient combined arms capabilities to conduct a counteroffensive that reclaims significant territory and eliminates a few Russian divisions?

132 views / TodayFPV drones swarm Russian troops
Reconnaissance and FPV drone footage released by the Ukrainian Ivan Franko Group shows a series of drone strikes against Russian troops located in the Donetsk region. It's unclear exactly what problem the Russian troops were working when they set out for their mission, but the problem quickly became getting off of the X and out of contact with the drones that were swarming their position.
40 views / TodayUkrainian 3rd Assault takes Russian position, repels counterattack
This compilation of footage shows the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of Ukraine's 3rd Assault Brigade as they assault and seize a Russian position near Kapivka, Donetsk. As they clear the buildings and dugouts, Russian KIAs are shown. This is also true of a Russian counter-attacking element. While most are killed, some are taken as prisoners. While most of the gore is censored, due to the inclusion of deceased persons, viewer discretion is advised.
26 views / Today2 Russians zapped by thermal sniper
Footage recorded through a Ukrainian soldier's thermal riflescope shows two Russian soldiers walking at night, laterally through the frame. The rifleman makes a first shot hit on the lead target, and he drops to the ground. The rifleman likely has a suppressed weapon as the second Russian doesn't know his buddy was just killed. He stops to forage some local flora, and the shooter touches off a round. It's not clear if the man is hit, but the round came close enough to alert him that he is being engaged. He sprints and dodges a second bullet, but he doesn't dodge the third, which appears to strike him near his groin.
50 views / TodayDrones catch Russians on their phones
This footage, provided by Ukraine's "Fatum" drone group, shows a pair of Russian soldiers who, by dint of being distracted by their cell phones, don't hear or see the Ukrainian drones coming. While the temptation to crack jokes about memes or "doom scrolling" is there, it's equally likely they might have been communicating with friends or family. In either case, it's a boldface lesson on focus and situational awareness. Several FPV drones are used to strike their position amid their belated attempts to flee, including what appears to be a "dead check" as a drone bumps into a motionless Russian body. Viewer discretion is advised.
23 views / TodayBrutal drone strike kills driver
Fiber-optic drone footage coming out of the Kup'yans'k region of Ukraine that was released by Russian forces shows a drone strike against a Ukrainian vehicle. The initial drone strike appears to kill the driver of the vehicle almost immediately, and a second drone is dispatched to conduct a follow up attack to ensure the vehicle is fully destroyed. At the end of the video, it appears like the drone operators have found a wounded soldier that escaped the follow up attack.
29 views / TodayBM-21 Grad sells itself out
Reconnaissance drone footage recorded in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine and released by Ukrainian forces captures the moment a Russian BM-21 Grad launcher is hunted and destroyed. The Ukrainians were able to spot the vehicle through their reconnaissance assets as it conducted a fire-mission, which enabled them to follow the vehicle to it's cold position. Once the truck and it's crew thought they were safe, explosive FPV drones were dispatched to destroy the vehicle and eliminate the crew.
17 views / TodayCrew mate killed escaping destroyed armor
