Wild field surgery to remove stuck round
Cell phone footage published by Russian sources shows a group of soldiers gathered around as they remove what appears to be a 7.62x39 round from the back of another Russian's head. Unfortunately, not a lot of context exists for this video right now, so it's unclear exactly how the Russian obtained this injury.
12 views / TodayTrunk monkey stops a drone at the last second
GoPro footage released by Ukrainian sources captures the moment a vehicle's rear dismount stops an incoming explosive FPV drone at the very last second with small arms fire. The soldier wearing the GoPro is allegedly a member of the Freedom of Russia Legion, which is an arm of the Ukrainian International Foreign Legion made up of Russians fighting on the behalf of Ukraine against Russian occupation. The footage was recorded near Zaporizhzhia.
6 views / TodaySpetsnaz ambush Ukrainians at close range
GoPro footage released by pro-Russian sources shows what appears to be a Spetsnaz team conducting ambush operations. The first half of the video seems to show the group moving to their ambush site, while the last half of the footage appears to be from multiple GoPros capturing the ambush against a pickup truck that Ukrainian troops were using to move between positions.
21 views / TodayBirds of Magyar reduce Russian fire team
Footage from the Ukrainian Birds of Magyar drone unit shows the engagement of a Russian fire team. At least one of the enemy soldiers can be seen seeking refuge in a small shack which is struck by an FPV drone.
8 views / TodayOblivious kitten enjoys sunshine in a warzone
This recording of a laptop feed shows a Ukrainian FPV drone being happened upon by an oblivious kitten as the drone team waits to spring an ambush on passing Russian vehicles, allegedly in Kherson. Let me stress that absolutely nothing bad happens to the cat- he or she just rolls in the sunshine and up against the drone before going on his or her way. This footage is considered extremely safe for work.
6 views / TodayRussian concert hit by drone strike
A frontline Russian USO-type show, being recorded by a soldier in the audience, shows the exact moment a reported Ukrainian drone makes a direct hit on the venue. The video goes black, but the audio continues and suggests that some of the attendees were wounded or worse.
5 views / TodayMajor oil refinery burns in Russia
Yaroslavl Oil Refinery, the fifth largest refinery in Russia, experienced a sudden explosion and follow-on fire that analysts are calling "catastrophic" to the facility's ability to continue operations.
8 views / TodayMassive strikes on Ukrainian drone operation
Reconnaissance drone footage released through official Russian channels claims to show the destruction of a large Ukrainian drone operation in the Chernihiv region. According to the source, 20 cargo trucks, 100 long-range fixed-wing UAVs, and 60 Ukrainian troops including drone pilots, technicians, and drivers were eliminated in the Geran and Iskander-M attacks
6 views / TodayTank ghillie suits don't work
Infrared drone footage released by the Ukrainian Signum drone unit shows an attack on a Russian armored column in the Lyman region. The armor appears to be covered in brush, attempting to conceal the armor from aerial reconnaissance assets. Unfortunately for the Russians, the drones they were attempting to hide from were equipped with the ability to see thermal signatures, and their armor just happens to make one very large heat target.
7 views / TodayRussian buhanka runs the gauntlet
This footage, captured by an observing Ukrainian drone, shows a Russian UAZ "Buhanka" van setting off a series of mines on a roadway. The mines, dropped into position by Ukrainian drones, have electro-magnetic fuses and don't rely on pressure to detonate. Instead, the magnetic nature of the metal in the UAZ sets them off. Because they aren't directly triggered by the van pressing down on them, one detonates too early, and two too late. However, the Russians are fugitives from the law of averages for only a few precious seconds before a fourth mine sets the Buhanka ablaze. Russians are shown bailing out as the burning vehicle rolls to a stop.
6 views / TodayReturn of the shotgun drone
This footage, provided by Ukraine's Azov unit, shows a shotgun-equipped drone being used to interdict and shoot down Russian drones. While there have been many effective drone-on-drones strategies showcased across the war, ramming into one another seems to be the preferred tactic over all. However, when used, shotgun-equipped drones appear to be prodigiously effective, for all the reasons that shotguns are proving to be viable and valuable drone defense on the ground. Curiously, in large portions of this video the background has been obfuscated out of concern for OPSEC, making it impossible to determine where this Azov drone-killing crew is operating.
6 views / TodayRussian drones target civilian population center
A batch of Russian drones targeted Ukraine's densely-populated city of Kharkiv city on Sep. 30, 2025, but we are still waiting on the damage assessment.

9 views / TodaySecond angle of crashed helicopter
A second angle of the recent Russian Mi-8 crash caused by a Ukrainian FPV drone attack has surfaced online today. This angle, also released by Ukrainian sources, shows the aircraft burning into the crash, but managing to stay upright. According to some Russian sources, several crew members and passengers managed to survive the incident because of the pilot's emergency landing.
6 views / Today2S7 Pion struck by fiber drone
Fiber-optic drone footage released by Russian sources shows an FPV attack on what is believed to be a stationary 2S7 Pion self-propelled 203mm cannon. No further context was provided with this footage, and confirming the equipment's designation is challenging due to camouflage netting obscuring the vehicle. The cannon is not visible in the footage either, which makes it even more difficult to confirm the designation of the destroyed equipment.
6 views / TodayRussian special unit commander taken out by Ukrainian partisan bomb
This footage shows a collaborative effort by Ukraine's Directorate of Intelligence (HUR/GUR) and local partisans in the area of Stavropol, Russia. Using an IED, the team blew up a vehicle containing a Lieutenant Colonel. The officer in question reportedly ran "Avangard", an elite unit within the Russian Guard. In the video, we see at least a driver and cameraman get close enough to establish positive identification of their targets- a pretty brave piece of old-school field work, given most of the world's growing reliance on drone reconnaissance- before detonating the IED as the Russian vehicles cross into the killzone.
12 views / TodayDrone pilot kills 61 Russians in one day
The Ukrainian Phoenix drone unit reported that one of their drone pilots racked up an insane 61 kills against Russian infantry in a single day. Compare that kildcount to legendary snipers in history, and you'll begin to comprehend how hellacious and brutal the drone war actually is at the ground level.
8 views / TodayUkrainian naval drone carries FPV drones
Russian footage of a captured Ukrainian naval drone. The source claims that the vessel is armed with fiber drones, which, if true, is a substantial capability. The naval drone essentially becomes a small aircraft carrier, capable of projecting firepower beyond its own operational range, and both the vessel and the drones are entirely disposable.
