Crane truck hit by Lancet munition
Footage released by Russian sources shows an attack against a Ukrainian engineer vehicle working to build a temporary bridge. It appears as if the first drone is a lancet loitering munition, and the second perspective looks to be something like an attempt at a battle damage assessment.
10 views / TodayTutorial: how not to remove a landmine
Cell phone footage published by Russian sources captures the moment a landmine is removed using a Kalashnikov service rifle. I don't think there is any place in any service manual that suggests this as a standard operating procedure for removing landmines, and if there is, I'd wager that the text tells you to get proper standoff distance from the explosive before you try shooting.
13 views / TodayUkrainian counter-assault frees POWs
This overhead drone footage shows Ukrainian soldiers from the 141st Mechanized Brigade. Russian soldiers overran a position the Ukrainians had held in Donetsk, but as the drone footage shows, in so doing, the Russians took Ukrainian soldiers as prisoners. This changed the stakes and the Ukrainians then mounted a speedy counter-assault. They cleared the position and freed their comrades. Interestingly, the Russians were apparently not taken captive themselves. It is unknown whether they refused to surrender or weren't given the option- either out of vengeance/spite or due to manpower and the associated complications of looking after prisoners. In any case, although "you fight for the guy next to you," has been repeated across time, conflict, and popular culture into trope-dom, these freed prisoners will remember who came back for them for the rest of their lives.
12 views / TodayUkrainian MRAP takes a beating to evac civilian
Coming from Pokrovsk, this overhead drone footage shows an American-donated MRAP MaxxPro being used to evacuate a wounded civilian. It appears that he possibly stepped on a mine or some sort of UXO, as the wounded man can be seen hobbling at top of frame while someone flags down the MRAP. However, as the large truck uses the corner to turn around, it endures detonations from what appear to be an FPV drone and a mine, which sets off sympathetic explosions. It's not the worst beating we've seen a MaxxPro take, but it does illustrate the MRAP's value in evacuating civilians.
9 views / TodayRussian drone hits civilian traffic in Sumy
Witness footage captured the moment a Russian Geran/Shahed loitering munition struck a busy intersection in the Ukrainian city of Sumy on Oct. 21, 2025.
5 views / TodayRussian refuge ripped by tank
Following a failed attack in Zaporizhzhia, a gaggle of Russian soldiers seek refuge in a cluster of desiccated buildings. Their hidey-hole is pounded by a Ukrainian tank of the older Soviet variety, which maneuvers back and forth, pummeling any building still standing.
10 views / TodayRussians t-bone wreckage, blinded by smoke
Ukrainian drone footage shows a squad of Russian motorcycle infiltrators speeding down a road where large plumes of smoke are concealing the line of travel. The bikes maintain a high rate of speed to mitigate enemy drones, but it proves costly as the riders fly through the smoke cloud, only to be faced with a literal ton of twisted wreckage.
6 views / TodayRussians still playing freeze tag with drones
For whatever reason, Russian infantrymen are still under the impression that Ukrainian kamikaze drones can't detect them if they freeze in place. This false and deadly assumption may continue indefinitely as those attempting the technique never make it back to friendly lines to explain that it doesn't work.
9 views / TodayLancet targets Ukrainian Plastun RP-3000
Reconnaissance drone footage released by Russian sources shows the alleged destruction of a Ukrainian-operated Plastun RP-3000 system. For those of you who are out of the loop, the Plastun RP-3000 is a portable, mobile tactical direction-finding system developed by the Ukrainian company Infozahyst. It serves as a signals intelligence tool primarily used in military applications to detect, analyze, and locate enemy radio communication systems, including frequency-hopping spread spectrum signals.
5 views / TodayRussian assault turns into mass chaos
Reconnaissance drone footage released by Ukrainian sources captures the moment a poorly planned Russian assault turns into a mass casualty situation with no hope of success. The footage was recorded by the 17th Army Corps near in the Zaporizhzhia region, and its one more example of extreme Russian incompetence in battle.
7 views / TodayUkrainian artillery crew fends off drone swarm
This footage comes from the TUR Battalion of Ukraine's 225th Assault Regiment. One of their artillery crews was spotted by Russian recon- presumably a drone- at which point they were reportedly attacked by a swarm of FPV drones. According to the statement released from the unit, a Humvee was damaged, but the unit managed to relocate their howitzer whilst shooting down no fewer than 30 drones with small arms fire. Although the drone videos that make it to the internet, and thus to us, usually only show one or two hits on the target, numbers like this show us what a concerted, focused drone attack on a target often looks like.
5 views / TodayPuppy gives opinion on drone war
Footage from a parked bomb drone, lying in wait and conserving battery until a target draws near, records as a young domestic canine approaches, lifts his leg, and delivers his thoughts about these modern drone wars. I think we can all agree.
8 views / TodayRussian's last-ditch drone defense
This short piece of footage, comes from Ukraine's Fatum Group, a drone unit which is part of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. It shows a Russian soldier's last-ditch attempt to defend himself from an incoming drone. He steps from behind a large tree and attempts to down the drone by throwing a chunk of the tree's detritus at it. While he appears to score a hit, a second drone's angle on the incident shows that it did him little good- the explosive drone detonates well within range to kill him.
5 views / TodayRussian fiber optic drone brings tailgate terror
This footage comes from the perspective of a Russian Fiber Optic drone, being controlled by an operator allegedly in the Russian 6th Army. The drone is shown diving on a Ukrainian pickup truck which has two unfortunate souls riding in the back. Although they attempt to shoot the drone down, it closes in inexorably before Loss of Signal (LOS), which more likely than not means the drone detonated, likely killing or very seriously injuring the riders. In conflict, making do with what you have isn't new, or even really a choice. But the risks of riding exposed, whether on top of a vehicle or in one with no cover, have been magnified by drones in such a way that it should be avoided wherever possible.
6 views / TodayRussian drone destroys Ukrainian Humvee
This footage shows a pair of Russian FPV drones belonging to Russia's premier "Rubicon" drone unit as they destroy a pair of Ukrainian vehicles in a forest near Ivolzhanskoye. The first is a US-produced HMMWV or "Humvee." Interestingly, although the drone appears to detonate right in the face of the Humvee's driver, his body is not seen with the wreckage. If he were evacuated, it begs the question of why the second truck- a Toyota technical- was left to be destroyed. One certainty does remain: From Afghanistan to Ukraine, second-hand Humvees are taking a beating lately.
10 views / TodayHoled-up Russians get rinsed by combined arms
This compilation of overhead observation drone footage shows a house in Pokrovsk which was reported to be occupied by Russian forces. To deal with them, Ukraine's 92nd Assault Brigade puts on a masterclass in the state of Combined Arms operations in the Drone Age. Using a heavy drone, the Ukrainians bomb the building with a large payload as Infantry Fighting Vehicles cordon the ruins. The IFVs dump rounds into the wreckage- and anyone inside who still happens to be any sort of ambulatory.
7 views / TodayRiflemen down incoming bomb drone
Helmet cam footage shows a pair of Russians being targeted by an incoming Ukrainian bomb drone. Instead of running, they decide to face the killing machine, both taking shots at the small flying device.
