Drone hit compilation on Russian infantry
A compilation of recent FPV drone strikes released by the Ukrainian 63rd Mechanized Brigade shows several attacks against Russian targets of opportunity. This is essentially the new normal for warfare moving into the future as long as both sides decide to remain static along the front-lines. Even with all of this attrition going on, we're seeing barely any moves happening by either side, as they're instead deciding to hold onto what they have instead of risking advances into drone denied territory.
6 views / TodayUkrainians plant explosives on Russian fortification
Footage from the Ukrainian 214th Assault Battalion shows a squad of infantrymen approaching a Russian fortification, a mostly rubbled building, and planting powerful explosives at two of the entrances. The bombs were set with a time fuse, giving the Ukrainians ample time to withdraw from the area before detonation. Both bombs explode in quick succession, but it's not clear how effective they were at eliminating the entrenched Russian occupants.
8 views / TodayStrikes target Russians in industrial area
The Ukrainian Armed Forces 56th Mechanized Brigade released a compilation of kamikaze strike videos showing successful hits against Russian infantry and vehicles les in an unspecified industrial area on the Ukrainian battlefield. Russians can be seen with drone cages on some vehicles and at least one soldier carrying a shotgun, but their drone deterrent applications feel half hearted and ineffective.
6 views / TodayFiber drones target Ukrainian vehicles
Fiber-optic drone footage released by Russian sources shows a series of attacks against Ukrainian equipment. In the future, I foresee the attacks decreasing quite a bit in the Russo-Ukraine war, as the cost of fiber-optic cabling has increased exponentially over the last year due to the demand for fiber-optic cable in the rest of the tech industry. This is likely an opportunity for anyone who wants to go out into the fields of fiber to collect the already used fiber-optic cables. If sections of the cable can be salvaged, there's likely a use of that elsewhere in non war-related industries.
8 views / TodayUkrainians bail to dodge drone attack
GoPro footage released by Ukrainian sources shows a group of Ukrainians bailing out of a logistics truck to dodge an incoming Russian FPV drone. Once they get to a position of safety away from the vehicle, with proper dispersion from one another, they open fire on the incoming drone to defend their vehicle from the attack.
7 views / TodayRussian with a stick vs explosive drone
FPV drone footage released by Ukrainian drone operators shows an attack against a dismounted and exposed Russian infantryman in an open field. The Russian, who appears to be carrying a perfectly operations rifle, decides his best defense against the impending drone attack is the walking stick that he was carrying at the time of the attack.
7 views / TodayChechen air defense failure in Grozny
Footage reportedly shows Kadyrov Chechen fighters attempting to shoot down a passing Ukrainian loitering munition using small arms. No rounds land on target and the Ukrainian kamikaze drone continues unhindered toward its target. The incident reportedly occurred somewhere in the vicinity of Grozny, the capital city of Chechnya.
6 views / TodayFiber drones target armor in Zaporizhia
Fiber-optic drone footage released by Russian sources shows a compilation of direct attacks against Ukrainian armor located in the Zaporizhia region. No further context was released with the compilation of strikes.
6 views / TodayFPV drones chase infantry through the woods
Drone footage published by the Ukrainian Signum Drone Unit shows several attacks against Russian infantry and equipment in a forest near Lyman. What's difficult to convey here is the skill required for a drone pilot to navigate through a densely forested area like this.
5 views / TodayShadow Fleet crew records sea drone attack
A crew member aboard one of Russia's "shadow fleet" oil tankers recorded the chaos following a Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel (USV) sea drone attack. The crew dons lifejackets and head topside, but there seems to be little actions available to them to stop the blaze of the onboard oil. The video then transitions to a night shot, showing the ship still consumed by flames, but the crew has not been rescued by any coast guard, and their only option is hoping the flammable material burns itself out before the ship sinks, which seems to be an inherent risk of operating a sanctioned illicit ship in contested waters.
12 views / TodaySweet combat roll doesn't save Russian
Footage reportedly shows a Russian soldier that had just shot down an FPV drone being targeted by a second kamikaze drone. He likely expended all of his ammunition on the first device, and tries to allude the following threat with an intense forward role. However, the drone is more nimble than himself and the pilot is skilled. The drone finds its mark.
7 views / TodayStrikes penetrate deep into Mariupol
A recent advancement in Ukrainian drone technology, or possibly Azov teams working behind enemy lines, has allowed for strikes deep into Russian-held territory. In this video, Ukrainian Azov drone units are operating kamikaze drones 160km past the front lines, and striking Russian logistics units in the vicinity of Mariupol, which has been in the hands of Russia for a number of years.
6 views / TodayConcrete shelters installed ahead of Victory Day
Footage recorded in Belgorod, Russia shows the installation of multiple concrete shelters around the city ahead of the Victory Day holiday. For the last few weeks, both Russia and Ukraine have been posturing back and fourth about strikes taking place inside of Russia during Russia's Victory Day holiday.
6 views / TodayAI upscaling trend threatens legitimacy of combat footage
Ukrainian forces released a FPV drone strike montage, and the footage demonstrates a rising and concerning trend as the clips are "upscaled" by AI, to reveal a "clearer" image of the target.
7 views / TodayRussian films Ukrainian POWs
Footage released by Russian sources, without much context, shows a group of Ukrainian infantrymen who have been captured during a recent operation in an unknown part of Ukraine.
6 views / TodayUkrainian GRU overwhelm Russian VDV
GoPro footage released by Ukrainian Special Operations shows an assault against a Russian airborne position located somewhere in the Zaporizhia region of Ukraine. Throughout the assault, the Ukrainian SOF team keeps a massive tactical advantage through the clever use of a reconnaissance drone and eventually forces six of the VDV soldiers into a hard surrender.
11 views / TodayThe tanks are devolving in Ukraine
Footage of a recent attack conducted by Russian forces shows an improvised up-armor system mounted to what appears to be a T-80BVM in the Zaporozyhe region of Ukraine. Throughout the recording, we can see the tank assaulting Ukrainian positions, but there's probably something to be said about the complete devolution of armored warfare in Ukraine caused by the rampant drone threat that both sides are facing.
6 views / TodayDrone steals other drone's kill
Footage shows a nightmarish situation for a doomed Russian soldier. He zigs and zags across the Ukrainian battlefield, hoping to lose the tailing FPV drone, but things get doubly horrific as a second kamikaze drone swoops in and attempts to steal there other drone's kill. The target stood little chance.
